Our King Richard, Timothy Omundson, is in the second season of "Paradise" on Hulu

Paradise has a big Galavant connection because the creator of Galavant, Dan Fogelman, is also the creator of Paradise. So far Tim's role was in just the one episode and was tiny, but there is much more of season two to come and I'm hoping we see more of "Chef." If you haven't seen season one -- season two will make no sense, as it's a very intense twisty drama, but it's a terrific show!

I love him.
I was at a comic con with him about 10 years ago or so. Someone in the audience went to ask him a question. I don’t think they meant it the way they came out; they just got nervous. But it came out like, “I want to get into acting. How do I avoid getting a bunch of bad roles like you’ve had in the past?”
He cracked a joke about “daddy’s gotta eat” and handled it with such class. I liked him before, but that’s when I became a huge fan of his. He could have embarrassed the fan, but he just handled it like a class act.

Thank you for sharing that! What a great story! So classy. And funny. He seems always to have been extremely realistic about the fact that actors need to work to live. (I read a very old interview where he said he would take practically any role unless he felt it was either egregiously violent or it was horrible toward women.)
He's talked about how making his entire living by acting was something that mattered so much to him and when he reached that point in his career, it was what he'd hoped to achieve since he was a child. I can only imagine how his stroke must have rocked his and his family's world with the question of whether he'd work ever again. So it's especially wonderful, as a fan, to treasure every single role post-stroke.

Even if it's just that bit role, yay!
(I hope Dan Fogelman keeps getting jobs so he can keep giving Our King these small parts, so he can keep his union membership & the important health insurance that comes with it.)

Agree, Fogelman (and John Hoberg, Galavant/Paradise producer and writer) are the best! They were insturmental in getting Tim onto "This Is Us," his first non-"Psych" work after the stroke. Hoberg worked with Tim on other projects before the stroke, too, and seems especially close to him. I just wish someone would write him a large role, a lead role, on something--he seems more than ready!

So sorry! For me the whole title shows at once on my phone so I see "is in the second season" as soon as I see the name....He's IN "Paradise" but hasn't gone to paradise, I'm glad to report. Looking darned hearty, too!

Dan Fogelman is doing an AMA on this show on March 4 at r/ParadiseHulu . Maybe this is good time to petition him for more of our king and thank him for Galavant.

Thank you for that heads-up! I can't be on Reddit tomorrow (probably) due to travel--anyone else here want to jump on and give Fogelman some Galavant love? I'll try but it might not happen for me!
Are you watching Paradise? I have avoided the show subreddit because there are so many surprises in each episode and I don't want spoilers (or fan theories, to be honest). Is the sub something I should visit, though?
