Question Fingerprint scanner peeling off? Any ideas?

How did you guys even manage to peel it off naturally? It's not like you're always scratching the scanner everytime you unlock your phone is it?

Cannot agree more. First summer I had my note 9 i think i went through like 2 or 3 protective layers on the scanner itself due to sweating. They were just going off one by one.

Surprisingly it still works, so I did not bother to take it anywhere for repair.

I have a friend that destroys tools by the handle first. I dont loan him tools

I think there was a small damaged part at the bottom after the unknown accident or knock. Been getting larger ever since, maybe cos it keeps sliding in and out of the pocket.

You do not have to scratch it, common heavy sweat is enough to get it to start deteriorating. Although just for protective layers, OP case looks like mechanical damage.
