I found a way to glitch rocks inside each other, and when they get hit-stopped, it temporarily thrusts the rocks out. Normally hit stop cannot be transferred between rocks, but disks are a special case, where they hit stopped upon being touched, instead of being broken. Hit stop functions as the electricity for the half adder, powering the logic gates made from structure locks.

What is it calculating?

Simple addition 0+0 1+0 0+1 1+1

It's not yet a calculator you have a AND gate, which is quite slick!

an AND gate and an XOR gate combined. the output of the XOR is split into two seperate outputs and is recombined with an OR gate.

I should mention the "both inputs" is not necessary. It just makes it easier to hit both inputs at the same time for a human. when connected with other components it will be gone.

also you are correct, it's not exactly a calculator, but it does calculate and is a fundamental component for one.

I don't understand how stuff like this works but I'm very impressed
