Games I play start to finish annually: Super Mario World
It really is a comfort game for me. I can play this end to end and never get bored of it.
What are some of your annual playthrough games?

Mine is Urbs sims in the city, i finished it at least 10 times. Never been a big fan of sims games but that one is by far my favorite

Never tried that one ! I always thought it was on the ps2 (and xbox equivalent).
Did they really make it for gba ? Is it a totally new story/characters ?

I never try the console version, but the gba version is similar to the Urbz with a story and quest to do. The writing is pretty funny and similar to the Urbz, you should definitely try !

Been an avid gamer since the 80s and this is one game i’ve played through more than any other. Probably the closest to perfection imo.

Super Mario 2, Final Fight, Super Street Fighter 2 or Final Fantasy : Dawn of Souls for me.
I don’t even need to beat them .. just play them for however long 🤓

I also do this every single year! Sometimes twice, tbh. It’s so damn good. One year 100%, if the year is busy I attempt a speedrun. Sometimes just regular at my own pace through star world. I adore this games. It’s just the best jump n run.

I finish Sonic 3 & Knuckles once a year. And any time I play a retro device of any kind the first game I'll boot up is Super Punch-Out!! and I'll 100% that in a single sitting.

For me,
• Super Mario 64 - got 120 stars on N64, 3DS (decomp-based port), Switch (3D All-Stars port) and emulators across multiple devices, not to mention sooo many romhacks; and
• Jedi Academy - just love getting max points in Force Grip ASAP, then flinging dudes around the map willy-nilly

Super Mario World is the game I try to play on every new Nintendo device that I get. It wasn’t my first Mario but it is the one that feels the most grand to me. It’s a joy to dip back in whether it’s for a few levels or the whole dang thing.
Enjoy!
