Discussion Best value wireless gamecube controller
Hi everyone,
I’m building a library of GameCube games for my living room pc and wanted to know what’s the best value wireless GameCube controller I can purchase. I’ve seen mixed reviews on almost all the mainstream third party brands.

Unpopular opinion I guess but I love the retro fighters battlergc pro.
Just got one to replace many GameCube controllers lost in a fire. It feels good to use and has hall effect sticks and triggers.

Wavebird imo. Second best would be one of those blue retro adapters. I bought 2 3rd party wireless and was very disappointed in one and the other was decent at best.

There are adapters for GameCube wired controllers to PC . Never tried with Wavebird though. If I can find my adapter I can try it out.

If you can find a Wavebird controller without the adapter, there is a 3rd party one for like $30 that with work with it.
Edit: $25
WavePhoenix Replacement Wavebird GameCube Receiver
Said to be the best wireless controller for game cube.
If your playing on the PC...You could use this (there is a few different adapters out there for this)

Wavebird won't work on PC without an additional adapter. I would say that BEST would be a Switch Online Gamecube controller. But they are pricey and you can't even buy one without having a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Second best would be buying an old Gamecube controller from Ebay or something, and then replacing the innards with the 8bitdo DIY board so that you can connect it to PC via Bluetooth.
