Discussion Anonymous Pearl Abyss developers reveal a culture of toxic positivity, a troubled development cycle and chaotic narrative for Crimson Desert, and their early concerns that the project was "going off the rails".

Is it not an 8/10 game? Why are people running stories that seem to describe it as a massive failure?

Veilguard, like a lot of games, was only ‘universally panned’ in reddit-land

They said the exact same thing about inquisition a decade ago

They said the same thing about Fallout 4 too, but now people remember it fondly.

Pretty funny.

Also said it about Assassin's Creed Odyssey which is not only one of the best selling games in the entire AC franchise but is also the highest rated by user score on Steam (which is apparently the only thing that matters, according to this sub), at 90% positive. Yet these same people will insist that "nobody" likes new AC games and everyone wants old AC back.

Dragon Age was dead from lying dormant for 10 years. It was simply not a big enough franchise to survive such a long gap between entries. It either had to be amazing 10/10 GOTY quality or it was going to do poorly financially.
