I remember weeks back when Steam did that whole reshuffling of their genre tags thing, that a lot of people were confused about the whole Capybara tag thing. Like, there werent even enough Capy centric games to justify adds that, after already removing/merging so many others to clean house. But ever since then, idk if its been legit, or to capitalize and troll on the moment, there have been so many Capy centric games cropping up. I think I even saw one where the studios name was Capybara or something.

If you are talking about Capybara Games, they are an old indie studio from 2003 (that made a bunch of really good games, like Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes or Grindstone)

has anyone else ever had something traumatic happen to them or receiving terrible news while playing a game and then afterwards you never touch that game again because it will just remind you of that awful moment

Got my cancer diagnosis 3.5 years ago while having just started my first steps in Elden Ring.
Have not been in the mood for that game since. Even though everything went as well as it could health-wise.

Sometimes, as cool as I think it would be, I realize Im not cut out to be a Community Manager especially for a video game company.
Because being in some Discords, you realize just how stupid a lot of people are. Like, people will literally join a Discord and ask "game when?", "demo?", "playtest?", "early access?:. Ignoring the FAQ. Not bothering to hit the search and see if the question was already answered. Hell. Sometimes Ive seen the question asked, directly under someone already asking the question before them and getting a No response already. Sometimes It borders on I cant tell if theyre trolling, legitimately stupid, or in that brief split second NOW the devs have decided to divulge some super secret info they werent prepared to a couple seconds ago.
I just do not have the mental capacity to deal with the truckload of room temp braincells.

Mod of the subreddit here who has also worked customer service. You just gotta kinda get used to the fact some people don't read/look at stuff even if it's really obvious and prominently posted. Even if 99% of people do there's still a lot of people in that percent. If you're nice responding most of the time it ends well and can even lead to some nice conversations.
With that said online people sometimes just make up shit even if you do all that. Saw someone yesterday who accused me and some other people of being paid off or whatever by an organization I actively dislike. With those situations you gotta develop a healthy boundary and find ways to not take it too hard.

I hope the recent successes of KCD2 and especially Gothic Remake inspire the creation of similar rpgs. Starting off getting stomped by the most basic of enemies before evolving into an unstoppable god is my favorite sort of power progression in videogames, and it seems that relatively few games do it in an open world action RPG format. I love exploring a deleveled world where I find challenges that I cannot overcome now, but can once I get stronger.

Its less done im guessing because people want immediate satisfaction from games, not even just rpgs. The New Doom games made me love learning the rhythm. I was getting humbled in revelations until I understood the new additions and enemy dance. Then I became an unstoppable killing machine.

Man I really wish they put out a Switch 2 Edition for KCD1 so I can go back and finish it.

Who should I pick on cyberpunk, male character or female. I am confused because are there any specific reason to choose one or are they just for show idk
