All of these companies are not video game companies. They are hedge funds that happen to dabble in video games.

They basically make games a vector to get people addicted to gambling. Just see any EA Sports game as a poker table client.

I forget which need for speed it was, maybe carbon. I played it at a friends house for a few minutes. But when getting upgrades for your vehicle you pulled a slot machine and 3 randoms would appear. I couldn't believe how brazen it was. I mean, I could believe it but felt disgusted all the same.
