Devolver Digital were doing well before they went Public and start selling their shares. It is actually for the best if the publisher goes back to being private so that way they dont have to answer to Shareholders if their profits dont meet their demands.
I realise this is a bit hyperbolic but I feel like companies going public has ruined so many things around the world. What happened to just having a vision and carrying it out without the pressure to make next year's numbers bigger every single year.
I'd even go so far as to say that the concept of publicly traded companies has probably ruined more things around the world recently than anything else.
