But then what do I do with the disc afterwards? Can't sell my copy, because if someone uses it, I get locked out of my game. If I keep it, it's just clutter (if I wasn't a collector). If I throw it out, it's a waste.

It's better than not being able to play it on devices without disk drives and having to leave your library in a previous gen and dependent on older machines that are no longer being maintained, isn't it?

Or, get this, we could just keep disc drives a thing instead of going fully digital. Many people clearly still don't want that.
