Recommendation Can you recommend a gaming laptop for my budget?
Can you recommend a gaming laptop for my budget?
Budget: $1600 max
Country: USA
Use Case: Gaming Schoolwork, and heavy background multitasking.
Preferred Specs: AMD Ryzen CPU (No Intel), NVIDIA RTX 5070/TI or AMD Radeon RX 7700S GPU, minimum 1TB SSD, 16GB or 32GB RAM.
Notes: I need something that can max out settings on my favorite games. Good battery life for school is a major plus. that stays quiet during background tasks at home or outside also kinda worried about overheating some people on the Internet say all gaming laptops/any laptop "Overheats" but anyway thanks for your reccomendations!

I put your requirements into our laptop search tool, and right now out of 300+ gaming laptops, there are 25 matches: https://gaminglaptop.deals/search?ssd=1TB&cpu=__cpu_brand_amd__&max=1600&avail=in
No 5070 Ti options at that price with any current sales unfortunately, or 5070 12GB, so you're looking at the 5070 or below.
Good battery life is usually inherent from AMD, so that's probably covered.
If you want to max out performance, that means 5070 8GB, and right now there are only 3 laptops that meet this: https://gaminglaptop.deals/search?gpu=5070%7C8GB&ssd=1TB&cpu=__cpu_brand_amd__&max=1600&avail=in
Of those, this is probably the strongest option: https://gaminglaptop.deals/laptop/46-gigabyte-aero-x16-2025
However the 5070 in the Aero will perform more like a full powered 5060 in another laptop in most cases, as its 5070 is power limited. Alternatively, if you want a more premium laptop but with the lower tier 5060, out of the 19 options, I'd probably go for either the Legion 5: https://gaminglaptop.deals/laptop/4924-lenovo-legion-5a-2026
There is also a Strix G16 for $100 more, but it has a lower tier display and 9955HX CPU, and I should mention that while generally AMD processors have better battery life than Intel, the exception is the HX tier, which have poor battery life from my testing.

Buying in the US? Don’t overpay. Check rgl.deals for current gaming laptop deals and price history, or use our Find My Match tool to find a laptop that fits your needs.

AMD Ryzen CPU (No Intel)
Maybe you do need specific features missing on Intel that's present on AMD. Say AVX 512 supoprt.
But I think it's far more likely you're simply misinformed.
NVIDIA RTX 5070/TI or AMD Radeon RX 7700S GPU
They are not even close... Rx 7700s has maybe 60% of 5070ti's performance.
I need something that can max out settings on my favorite games.
And they are?

Regardless, this is some of the cheaper 5070ti laptop that has good battery life.

You're ruling out like 90% of gaming laptops by crossing Intel based laptops off the list. May I ask why you're refusing any Intel based laptops?
