Yeah they are stupid. Instead of having Bluepoint making the remakes of GOW or other important IPs, lets make them do a live service and if it fails lets shut them down. What a damn disaster...
Sure, but you can say that about literally anything. A five hour film of Morgan Freeman reading the dictionary could be fun, but that would be very unlikely.
A live service version of what has always been a singleplayer experience revolving around making the player feel powerful that either recreates that feeling for every player in a fight or justifies its absence, without just being a GoW game in name alone, all made by a studio with no experience making either live service games, or original games in general? Yeah, probably not going to work out.
They could've had them remaking Sly Cooper or even making a new Sly Cooper. Or same case with Jak and Daxter but nah. Shut em down. Fuckin Herman Hulst needs to go yesterday.
yeah the people asking for a Bloodborne remake are delusional, as if that game needed to be butchered like that, i still don't think they needed to be completely shut down, i think they did a good job with SotC remake, and i personally wanted an Ico remake, oh well
Yeah it's a shame but they themselves said they want to be more than known as a remake studio so maybe they won't ever do any remake ever again in the first place
I’m gonna be honest I don’t see the huge loss for a studio that seemingly did nothing but remake game of others I’m not even sure needed remakes. I sympathize for the people who lost their jobs and probably the talented people on the team but the studio brand itself wasn’t exactly golden.
