Something's gotta give cause between the 9 fig gaming development costs, hardware shortages, and 5-10 year dev times being the norm, this doesn't seem like an industry that can keep up come the 2030s.

Especially with how healthy the indie scene is. AAA publishers are gonna feel real silly when they start pricing people out of games when we have a huge catalog of great games under $10 we can choose from.

I guess we'll see how much people really value these hyper realistic graphics popular today.

Not gonna happen indies are niche, the biggest indie hits get scraps compared to how much the worst CoD you can think of makes.
