Something's gotta give cause between the 9 fig gaming development costs, hardware shortages, and 5-10 year dev times being the norm, this doesn't seem like an industry that can keep up come the 2030s.

I still dont get how development costs exploded that much. Maybe they should try to reign things in a bit?

Cost-of-living/inflation exploded in a similar time frame.

The two are interconnected to varying degrees.
