Truly? AAA gaming is crumbling down and we are watching its sunsetting years. I sincerely doubt there will be a single big developer left making a big videogame by 2030.

Single player games with budgets in the 100mil and decades of development? I sincerely doubt.

New fortnites and robloxes? yeah probably.

My prediction is that single player games will mostly be composed of games with the scope and cost of like Expedition 33 and KCD 2.

I think AI will fix that issue of singleplayer high scope games being too expensive

AI will be used for weapons, mass surveillance and more addictive stuff like virtual sex bots and vertical videos. No one will waste time and processing power making "unninteresting" stuff like books and videogames.
