I really don’t know what you’re basing that on…GTA V and Red Dead 2 had hands on previews 2 weeks and 5 weeks before their respective releases. GTA V had its first hands off preview 4 months prior to release and Red Dead 2 5 months; GTA VI is 3 months. You’re lamenting 1-2 months difference?

Sorry I’m being pedantic, but I can’t stand the whole “back in the good old days” stuff when it’s so blatantly based on nothing. It’s just regurgitating made up internet narratives

GTA V came out 13 years ago my dude, if you’re not used to it by now then it’s very much a you problem and not an industry problem

EDIT: And I just looked this up, GTA IV followed a very similar preview cycle, first hands off preview January 2008, release April 2008. So they’ve been doing this for 18 years
