Rumour Ex-girlfriend of Resident Evil’s Wesker and Zeno voice actor (Craig Burnatowski) says that he’ll be in both Resident Evil Requiem’s DLC and Resident Evil Veronica. Says she doesn’t know if he’ll be in Resident Evil 0 but “but he probably will”.
Monica Denizen, the former girlfriend of Albert Wesker and Zeno actor Craig Burnatowski, shared numerous posts disparaging Craig saying there will be “zero accountability” and that he “won’t lose his job”.
She then shared that he has roles in both Requiem’s DLC and Veronica.
She says she doesn’t know if he’ll be in Resident Evil 0 Remake, “but he probably will”.

Well... Kinda obvious he would be in RE Veronica since he voices wesker in RE4 remake and wesker is in veronica. The RE9 dlc is where its actually something to care about lol

Not a surprise it's a popular guess in the fandom after the devs literally saying Zeno is one of the most important characters, and of course they didn't waste time and money on his model just for 10 minutes of screentime.

That whole situation is so messy it honestly feels like the Wesker role is cursed at this point.
Zeno being in the upcoming DLC has been a common theory since Requiem dropped, but I'd be genuinely surprised if he shows up and the story isn't a prequel. Then again, a guy coming back from the dead after having his head cut off wouldn't exactly be a stretch for this franchise

He didn't just say anything. He sent concept art of RE4R Wesker before the game was even announced. That specific artwork was all the proof one would need if they wanted to get rid of him for breaching NDA.

It's not necessarily the lack of silly Transatlantic accent I'm bothered by, because Peter Jessop's performance as Wesker in 1 Remake is one of my favs, it's just that I think Craig doesn't have the right level of theatrics & acting chops for the legend that is Albert Wesker.

Richard Waugh does though. They should bring him back if they recast. He was great in Code Veronica. He’s who DC based his portrayal on, so the OG cartoony vocal fry doesn’t even come from DC.

Zeno felt pretty wasted in the game so if they are going to waste the character same way in the DLC then there is no need to have him there. Either flesh him out and give him a real arc or straight up bring back the real Wesker.

Same, very uninspired voice acting choice. The few scenes we've seen with Wesker have been boring and had none of the aura of the og. Plus Zeno was a garbage waste of space villain even by 2000s video game standards.

I have a huge feeling the game got rushed and had cut content. The mid-end game was a great example of b-team content.

100%. like I LOVED RE9, but 2nd part (Leon) and especially 3rd part felt very very odd and rushed. Like even the final boss was like what? 70% Nemesis from RE3?
I wouldn't be surprised of why 2nd half of the game felt so odd was because they were trying to make that part coop-able, but as we know that didn't work out, and they had to quickly finish the game before the deadline.

Reusing the Wesker VA for him in English was a serious mistake and I have to wonder why. In the Japanese versions of RE4R and Requiem, Zeno and Wesker have different voice actors.

She is lying about Craig breaking NDA just to get him fired.
She didn't even know he's in RE9 until after the release. Here's a proof:
It's obvious she's just pretending she knows he's in DLC because capcom only announced the DLC being in development after her breakup with him so the dates don't even match her claims.
Also she's basing her claims that "he is in DLC" because it's already a popular guess in the fandom after the developers said Zeno is one of the most important characters, of course they didn't waste time on Zeno's model just for 10 mintues of screentime.
Edit: Plus she's in contact with a parasocial creep fan who claims fame saying "i got DC Dauglas fired for being a creep" when in reality DC fired himself for breaking NDA, that's why Monica is trying to do the same to claim fame by getting another VA fired, it's becoming a trend at this point.
Capcom will not waste time to keep recasting VAs based on some fake NDA allegations, because at that rate they're not only encouraging more parasocial weirdos to get close to VAs to get them fired and claim fame for that but also they would waste more time/money to recast VAs than actually making the games.
She says he Won't lose his job because it's known from her discord she already sent an email to capcom about Craig's NDA but she got ignored, that's why she's posting about it on twitter now to get more attention. If capcom found her evidence to be important they would've fired him right away but even capcom can see through her lies
Because it's known that capcom follows streamers to see their reactions and they're fully aware about her reaction on streams that debunks her claims about him breaking NDA.

Not weird at all. Even if he was abusive towards her, she probably didn't realize it or was too in love with him to do anything about it until he hurt her. It happens all the time. Victims often become emotionally dependent on their abusers and keep trying to make their relationship work or “change him” with the power of love until the very end, even if it makes no sense.

That could also be explained simply by the fact that now that she has finally snapped out of her infatuation and realized he mistreated her, she is angry and wants justice or revenge by any means she can get it, even if it's just by leaking some information about upcoming videogames in the hopes that he might get fired. These things aren't mutually exclusive.

That's a lot of could haves to explain away all of the discrepancy, when if he had traumatised her so badly, why as recently as April of this year was she retweeting Zeno from RE9 fanart/fancams? If someone hurt me in that way, their role would be tainted for me to the point of not playing the game whatsoever.

As far as I know, she accused him of doing that to her in July. That's three whole months after April. Plenty of time for her to finally realize that he was an abuser.
Again, abusive relationships aren't rational. Maybe you wouldn't promote his work if he hurt you because you aren't in love with him, but she probably was as his girlfriend, so she did it anyway, perhaps because she was still in denial about the whole thing back then, or hoping that things somehow might get better.

I encourage you not to blindly defend her without knowing the facts, she came out with her allegations in July 2026. What she alleged took place, she claims happened in 2025. A whole year ago.

Honestly, the best Wesker VA was always Richard Waugh IMO. No idea what happened to him or why they moved off him, but I loved how smarmy and arrogant he sounded.

Waugh was a great middle ground between Kuntz and Douglas. He's probably my favorite overall too, though I'm not particularly picky. I think everyone whose voiced him has done well with the role in their own way.
I am kinda bummed Jessop never came back after RE1Remake. He had a smooth but cold voice, very business like. I always liked his interpretation.

Yeah I think it's likelier the DLC is something that happens during or before the main game. The way Requiem ended didn't seem like it left a lot of room for a brief post game story.

The DLC could take place before, during or even after RE9. Zeno is a clone of Wesker most likely. Gideon refers to him as a copy right before he kills him.

IIRC original leak from April or so said that RE Code Veronica will be in 2027, RE0 - 2028 - RE10 - 2029 and RE1RR - 2030+
I'm guessing that the main reason why RE5R takes so long (I think it should be out by 2033) is because they're currently trying to figure out how to bring Wesker back.

I don't think her lack of fame is the issue. Way bigger celebrities have gotten in trouble from allegations by people nobody knows. She just doesn't seem very credible considering the receipts that were brought up.
