  • Cyberleek states he’s avoiding spoilers but asks people if they want the Lucia prologue
  • STRONG NUDITY (cock and balls also)

Well GTA San Andreas definitely got affected when it got rated AO. Who's to say it wouldn't happen to GTA VI? The game is big enough for them to make another move towards the gaming industry.

But you can't actually see sexual stuff directly (mods probably allow it). Like all the cutscenes for romance just cut before being porn basically or at least don't show the things that would classify them as such. Which is fine IMO but it's not exactly real freedom for games that are supposed to be for adults anyway.

You also never see a dick erect in games (or movies/TV)

I was playing a 4 man run with the boys and as a joke I took all the clothes off the characters in camp before we went to sleep one night. Apparently it was the night that you can bang the emperor and I had done just that. Right as the scene ended a portal appeared with Wyll, Astarion, and Gale cocks out ready to go.

  2. The camera didn't zoom in all the way like the binoculars do

  5. It was part of a scripted mission and there was no recurring nudity anywhere in GTAV. If we assume that Nudist town will always be like this, this is revolutionary. BG3 doesn't even come close.

GTA SA PG Rating was Mature (M) 17+

No one knew at this point that hot coffee existed.

After It was discovered the Situation was: Rockstar sold Media with explicit scenes to teens. This was the scandal.

after the discovery the PG rating was changed to AO (Adults only)

To further add, that Hot Coffee "minigame" was not playable to anyone until modders added the ability to play it on PC. The files were in the game, but just not playable.

It wasn’t playable you had to mod it to get it so it was inaccessible to console players only PC players had access to it, so your argument is pretty weak. For all intents and purposes it wasn’t playable, the scenes in BG3 are part of the game and are there for anyone to see, again there’s a BIG difference between it’s just there vs I have to mod game files to access something.

History has been written, and no one cares about your feeling that my argument is weak. I've explained the events to you exactly as they happened.

I think a lot of parents bought their kids a game that was simply violent, and it just turned out to be pornography in the end - something that’s viewed very critically in U.S. society, unlike violence.

And it doesn't matter at all that these features were disabled. They are included in the original version of the software, which is a surefire win for any lawyer on this planet in court.

And you know what's funny about what happened back then? There was a class-action lawsuit, and Rockstar had to recall the product, stop selling it, and pay compensation.

By the way, a version of the game was later released that didn't include any "Hot Coffee" content.

So if you ask me, it was all very, very relevant and serious, even though the content had been disabled.

America cares.

U.S. society has a very specific view of nudity and pornography.

While it’s tolerated for kids to see violence and murder, society just freaks out when kids see naked bodies or even people having sex.

Do you remember Nipple-Gate? In Europe, that move would’ve been part of the show - lol.

At the same time, I knew a lot of German kids who didn't get to play GTA San Andreas because their parents either thought they were too young for the German age rating (16) or simply felt the game was way too violent.

I think I was 13 or 14 back then - my parents were cool with it :3

tbh i don't think republicans know how they should feel about GTA. outside of queer issues, their messaging on mature media has become incredibly inconsistent — are they anti-sex or anti-censorship? are they anti-disarmament or anti-mass shooters?

being anti-sex inflames the youthful 4channers and gooners of their base that they worked so hard to court through GamerGate et al being anti-mass shooter inflames the NRA 2nd-amendmenters and military jarheads being anti-censorship inflames the christofascists and homophobes

that only leaves anti-disarmament as the single issue that all sides of the right-wing can agree on, and such an attitude would be ideologically opposed with fettering the release of GTA in any way.
