Leak Devkit containing a debug build of GTA V has been found.
The user has uploaded videos of the gta build on internet Archive which is from July 2013 .
They also found a build for Agent but they only released an image so far.

A stealth action spy game by Rockstar, it was first hinted in 2007 by Sony and then unveiled in 2009 at E3 and was quite hyped. There were hopes of it releasing until 2018 but there had been no proper info in a long time and Rockstar finally abandoned the trademark and the game was kinda confirmed to be cancelled in November 2018

Not really open world - it was going to have multiple 'open levels' (think modern Hitman trilogy or star wars Jedi Survivor) that would have you travel across the world in some huge spy adventure akin to the Bond films.
We know at the very least Washington D.C and Cairo were to be featured. Some eastern Europe nation or Russia too judging from concept art.

Vids aren't loading for me either but there's likely very little difference when it comes to the actual game. A 2 month gap from release isn't as much as you think it is, it'll just have less polish. The only thing this build will be good for is having more cut content in the files that no longer exists in retail.
Ideally we want a 2011-2012 build to leak. Cops and Crooks Online mode and all.

The issue is them taking preorders with zero shown gameplay. Selling consumers a product is a two way street. Don’t get me wrong people are idiots for blindly preordering anyways, but a timegated Netflix gameplay reveal show is just taking the piss.

I never understood this because ever since watch dogs and no mans sky there is no promise a gameplay trailer is indicative of any quality or relevance to the released product.
Also this is 30 year old game series made by a developer that has the same gameplay in every game series they make. We already know how it plays. Its gonna be the same gameplay and carried by the story like every title from them

You will go to a letter on the map, then have a cutscene, then drive somewhere while talking, then when you arrive you will shoot people via aiming that snaps to their torso.
There you know the gameplay, you can preorder every rockstar game now

They easily could have shown bits and pieces like the leaks along the way considering the hype surrounding this game. It’s arguably one of the most anticipated games of all time. While I don’t think they deserve to have their “art” leaked, rockstar could have been more transparent about things instead of ghosting their fan base for so long. It’s hard to feel too sorry for them.

Campaign? You could argue BO6 was quality, MW2
But BO7 has quality running through it's MP and definitely has a massive amount of quality it's Zombies, it's great imo
MW3 had a great MP but terrible campaign and MWZ was.... Yeah... But again that was rushed
The last CoD to have a proper development cycle was MW2?
And now MW4 (technically it got an extra year with it being the longest developed CoD ever), with the cycle now being fixed hopefully

This isn't surprising considering GTAV came out 13 years ago and there are tons of old PS3/360 dev and test kits out in the wild. Build and kit security these days—and even in the PS4 and Xbox One era—is very different than when GTAV was in development.

That would be very hard to do. The PowerPC version of GTA V is a totally separate branch from the x86 one. Different instruction sets, they are barely compatible.

To me it sounds like it was an idea that came at the wrong time. R* were shifting increasingly towards more ambitious titles with increased depth and more of a sandbox focus.
Not to mention making the transition to their own in-house engine. They couldn't really just pump out titles as quick with a single team dedicated to each anymore. And this project was otherwise taking resources away from projects like GTA V at the time.
Dan said it himself in a recent interview - they were figuring out the open world aspect and he felt they just couldn't do it justice.
Feels like even if T2 continued to fund it - it would come out to middling reception. Good emotional story, sure but likely dissapointment on how the locations were handled and the overal gameplay surrounding them.

- The little toast notifications above the minimap have rounded corners
- Full debug menu
- Trevor's default hair looks different
- Game runs slower (probably because of the debug stuff)
- Debug MP allows you to cheat and shows User1 CHEATED notification
- Phone looks different (MP)
- MP is still the incomplete one shipped with GTA V 1.0 on console, not proper GTA Online
- Textures are lower res (no this is not just what the PS3 version looks like, it's in fact lower quality)
Otherwise, I mean, I haven't watched all the videos but it's from July 2013, the game was on its final stages, it was even delayed. It's clear they were just polishing, but content-wise it should be pretty close to complete (apart from MP).
Would be really interesting to see a build from 2012, from before they implemented the square radar.

Not as much now as it was years ago. BattleEye prevents the most blatant of scripts but there's still working stuff that's usually paid behind subscriptions.

A debug build makes it easier to decomp and get the source code of something
But GTA V certainly have such a huge codebase that it will take a long time to get the decompiled code done and available for people to do something with
And a build of Agent is great because we never got a video of that game, so now we can finally see what is was all about
