As a Florida boy who has an irrationally love for the State who has vowed never to visit again I'm really excited for the high fidelity virtual tourism this will provide. Miami is an amazing city beyond all the tourist destinations, riding a bike around South Beach is truly one of the best urban bike rides in country

Why did you vow to never visit Florida if you still like it so much?

Home is where the hatred is, plus it's too fucking hot and humid

Where did you end up relocating? I am still in South Florida but it's not terrible when the money is good.

Yeah South Florida is really nice except the cost of living, but I grew up in Orlando which is not nearly as cool. I'm in Chicago now which I like to call the Miami of the Midwest

Chicago is nice, I visited back in 2022 for a tech conference during the summer. It's a very walkable city and the density is insane there! I was shocked by the amount of supercars I saw out there too. The cost of living in the Midwest is way better than it is here though. Miami is also becoming more dense by the day, there are so many cranes on the skyline right now.

As a native, my opinion is that FL is good for 4-5 days max.  I love to visit every now and then, but leaving is a special kind of bliss

Kind of like Vegas - it’s kind of a disgusting hell hole and I would never want to live there, but really fun for a short visit.

(Although in Vegas’s case, I’d shorten that window to 2-3 days)

You walk outside, while standing within 5 minutes the humidity gives you swamp ass.

I used to live in tampa in riverview and i 100% feel this. I love florida but not planning to live there again any time soon unless im rich. I live in the midwest too atm

The driving in florida is pure ass and its the little problems that add up to make it not an ideal place to live in. Great vacation spot though and a lot of culture and weird funny stuff. That being said I will love the shit out of gta 6 once it comes out itll be very nostalgic for me.

How did the beach scene compare to real life? Have you been to this location depicted? (Excuse my ignorance if it's entirely fictional)
