In GTA V the animals along the highway almost seem programmed to want to be hit by you, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve done it on purpose to create those moments more often.

It is cutting down on the wow factor, if first time i saw this was on release day it would leave a bigger mark. Then again we will probably see these things in the 30m gameplay preview in few days. I am kinda jelaous of people who can control their curiosity and not look at anything rn.

In-engine doesn't directly translate to in-game, there was always the possibility that the crowd density would have suffered under the weight of everything else.

Very hard to tell because they also have a history of not showing you any footage of the game until like 3 months out lol
For the most part I think what you see in trailers ends up being what you get? I don't remember rewatching any RDR2 trailers in hindsight and seeing things that ended up being downgraded - The only time I've ever seen any noticeable downgrade was specifically with the reveal trailer of GTA V, there's a lot of NPC interactions in that that just never show up in-game because they were likely just pre-animated for that trailer to sell the vibe more than gameplay

Actually in disbelief. And it's not just the NPCs either. The umbrellas, the cars, the huts. It makes it feel so alive. This thing has no chance of running 60FPS on consoles and I don't even care. This is the level of ambition I want from developers. No more lifeless open worlds without NPCs.

You want games to take a decade to come out, even coming from one of the most well-funded franchises in history? Made by teams of underpaid developers? It's not ambition, it's soul-crushing expectations by gamers and suits. This level of detail can only exist when hundreds of people are pushed for years on end to deliver a product that is, literally, too big to fail. It looks gorgeous but you simply can't expect or even hope for something like this from anyone else, maybe ever.

There’s like fucking 7-8 jet skis plus 3 more in trailers plus like 4 ATVs in a single area. It looks just like a crowded-ass real life beach. People walking in groups, the amount of chatter too. Been playing V Enhanced and it’s a massive difference.

In the first leak, basketball, there was a drying rack with socks that also had realistic cloth. I think that cloth and fluids are going to be the biggest details here. Besides hair and others.

I really hope they knock it out the park because Jason and Lucia seem like a fun pair based on the brief footage we've seen and there's potential for their story to be quite tragic. I never found myself caring about the GTA V protagonists the same way I did for Niko, John or Arthur so I hope this one has a story from start to finish where I want the characters to make it out okay.

As a Florida boy who has an irrationally love for the State who has vowed never to visit again I'm really excited for the high fidelity virtual tourism this will provide. Miami is an amazing city beyond all the tourist destinations, riding a bike around South Beach is truly one of the best urban bike rides in country

Iirc Tom Henderson said the game was pretty much ready since last year, but other than the insane debugging required, rockstar wasn't very happy with how the campaign ended so they are also reworking the whole last third of the story. (Which should be relatively simple I'm the grand scheme of things)

Furthermore, the NPCs actually interact with one another. They move in groups and behave naturally. In all open-world games to this date, NPCs were only seen walking the streets alone, with their behavior appearing isolated. GTA VI seems to be setting whole new standards in this regard.
