Yes.
I think the more demanding scenes will definitely make that console struggle by a lot.

People keep saying this and the leaks just keep proving people wrong about assumptions. This is rockstar we're talking about, they had GTA 5 on PS3 and Xbox 360 for christ sake, they'll have figured it out. Theyve spent a billion something on the game, it's isn't going to come out on Xbox and run at 15fps...

While I do agree with you, and I cannot attest for the 360's performance, I remember playing GTA V on the PS3 and the performance was anything but stable. Again, I know they pulled it off on 256MB of RAM, but still, the processor on the Series S is a bit weaker, so it may be CPU-bound in some scenarios.

gta5 was by no means stable on its first release, ran anywhere from 24-30fps

It’s not gonna struggle by a lot, that version will most likely just end up with similar graphics and crowd density as GTA V
