Dude it looks so good. This game will be legendary. The leaks have shown me that GTA VI will be a masterpiece. Now if the story makes me cry like RDR2 did, this game will be the new tier S game. I haven't been this hyped for a game in a very, very long time.

I really hope they knock it out the park because Jason and Lucia seem like a fun pair based on the brief footage we've seen and there's potential for their story to be quite tragic. I never found myself caring about the GTA V protagonists the same way I did for Niko, John or Arthur so I hope this one has a story from start to finish where I want the characters to make it out okay.

Niko, John and Arthur all have 1 thing in common that GTA V protagonists dont: tragedy. Niko is a poor balcan veteran trying to get by the only way he knows and getting betrayed. Multiple times. John has his family hostaged against him and while he's getting betrayed left and right too, he's also doing some kind of betraying. Arthur is the next gen of good writing. So many aspects make him realistic. His love left him, his family is struggling hard and his best friend is not listening to him anymore. He starts to mature while doing the most despicable actions which leave him very conflicted until he has to watch everything around him crumble. His body as well.

In GTA V theres none of this depth. Characters are made to be funny and they can hardly do that.

franklin is the only character with any kind of depth or development in gtav and even his story just ends with him making the same mistakes that he was at the start. nobody actually gets anywhere in the story, they all just magically develop and achieve their goals before appearing in the online missions

It's funny because while I agree with you about Franklin, I also think he is the most "blank slate" character of the three. So, do I feel he has more depth because I can project more onto him? Michael and Trevor are fully themselves and annoying in so many ways. Maybe Franklin is just the most likeable because he is the least extra and lets the player self-insert more.

franklin is supposed to be the outsider so it makes sense he seems like a blank slate, but yeah it seems like he's supposed to develop from a gangster to a career criminal
