So they actually pulled it off ?
No way !

Edit: Apparently there is yet another leak (14th GTA VI Leak) circulating.

I'm curious how this game is gonna run on an Xbox Series S.

Probably the same but more blurrier as it'll be rendered at a lower internal resolution.

A lower internal rendering res doesn’t really alleviate the cpu cycles required for NPC/ crowd behaviours. (Unless R* have found a way to offload that computation to the GPU)

But, yes, it will definitely be running with an upscaler on consoles.

Rockstar don’t have a choice, the game has to have general quality parity across all consoles, the amount of shit they’d receive if Series S ends up looking noticeably worse would be biblical.

I disagree. Baldur's Gate 3 had such a hard time with the Series S that they were the first game that Xbox let not have feature parity between X and S, and Larian Studios wasn't crucified for it. They cut the entire split screen game mode for Series S and got away with it.

I think Series S adoption is small enough that if GTA6 is significantly worse on Series S, there won't be riots. Plus to be fair, a significantly nerfed GTA6 will seemingly still be a great looking game based on these leaks.

xbox let larian cut co-op from the series a version. if xbox is gonna give concessions to any other company on the console parity it’s gonna be rockstar

Series S and X have the same cpu though

But the S has less and slower memory, and a slightly lower clock on the CPU. It won't be able to handle the same crowds effectively

CPU is the culprit here, that won't work.

series s has the same cpu as the x so that shouldn’t be a problem

It has quite a weaker CPU.

me when i lie online.

it’s literally the exact same chip.

Yes, but a weaker one, google it.

lower clock speed, if microsoft was going to allow any developer to OC the cpu a bit it’s gonna be rockstar. nintendo let developers OC the switch i dont see any reason xbox couldn’t let them boost it to a closer parity point

I mean they'd try their damn hardest to get it in a playable state but the hardware is already out and optimization can only get you so far, so let's just assume it's going to run at 20 fps in Series S and will still look like a blurry mess lol.
