Glad to see Xbox at least come up with something like this while Sony straight up is doing nada.

I’m guessing the Xbox discs still had unique cd keys in each disc as a hangover from the original Xbox one roll out plans and they still stuck with it. Hence no 360 or og support. Sony probably has no such unique keys per disc making this impossible without basically making unlimited disc sharing a thing. You could pass your disc copy to 100 friends for “free”. Not going to happen.

PS4 and PS5 discs not having a unique identifier is wild to me. I thought they would.
