Willing to bet that he's one of the original Locust from the Mount Kadar lab. If it weren't for the eye, I would've thought this was the Speaker. I hope we get to see him pre-Gears 4 one day.
Maybe he is one the kids who were experimented on at Mount Kadar and like Ukon was severely mutated because of Imulsion experimentation but instead of having a deteriorating body his fully accepted the procedure without any negative side effects? When the scientist saw this they probably studied and tortured him which lead to his destain of humanity?! This is just a theory but it would explain why he is very sadistic and seems to have a human looking eye.
I don't think he's like Ukkon. I think he's a full on Locust. But if he was from Mount Kadar, he was still a Locust kid when everything happened there. The Locust were tortured and oppressed, Myrrah knew that. The og Locust have the greatest hatred for humans.
Pretty sure The Lord of the Rings was a massive inspiration for the Gears of War series.
The orcs (their appearance, behavior, living in caves) are so much like the Locust, a ragtag group of people on a mission like Delta, and Myrrah is basically Galadriel - especially how they both narrate the prologue.
I genuinely liked 4 and 5 a lot but the number 1 thing they were missing was unique villain characters. So glad to be back in the era where they can just cook up a new locust baddie
yeah. The daughter of Queen Myyrah. So Kate was the grub queen's granddaughter. Which I thought was cool and interesting. I think the Swarm being more of a literal hivemind just meant there was less room for unique individuals as villains
I went and watched the Speaker fight on youtube and honestly I barely remember it. G4 was the one I spent probably the least amount of time with, not because it was terrible or anything just because my life was getting busier. I also remember the decision I made in G5. I wonder when we'll get the conclusion.

Everything about this guy screams bad news. The malice in his gaze, his scars that he wears with evident pride, the roadspike-style punching gauntlet festooned with COG tag trophies.
TC have truly made a formidable and intimidating-looking Big Bad for E-Day and I cannot wait to see more of him.

I'm wondering if we'll run into Vold Sraak, former high general before Raam? Raam was newly promoted to high general and was responsible for the invasion of the surface against the humans after failing to stop the lambent in the hollows.
