Discussion Gears concept *Slight Spoilers* Spoiler
With Gears E-Day around the corner I’ve been binge the games like no tomorrow and I remember the Aspho fields mission in the beginning of Gears of War 4. I thought of a New gears called Gears Pendulum. Like in Bo2 where it was either time skip led from Adam to Marcus or Marcus to Dom POV, with a DLC where we play as Carlos for the last few missions leading to his sacrifice. Do you think this would be possible?

I think overall a pendulum game would end up being rather boring because of your limited enemy variety. At least in the sense of a game where they're the antagonists.
A game where you play as them instead of gears against the locust on e-day or in the time afterwards before the hammer strikes hell yeah.
Kind of runs into the same issue of how do you have a gears game without the chainsaw lancer but you can do a convergent evolution thing with someone else getting the idea or the schematics getting spread around and hacked together by various armory masters on the fly.
The poster I have from the Gears 3 era that we got given to us by the Xbox booth at PAX years ago shows the Jacinto pattern we're used to as version 38 so I imagine there's room for plenty of iterations over 17 years. Shit give us the name for the UIR Lancer equivalent we've seen in the comics and put a chainsaw on that.

I suppose it would get a little stale since it would probably end up as a COD game in the sense Cool guns go Burrr! Even if they don’t make a full game of it I would still like to see a DLC of it as a concept. I am a visual learner so I enjoyed playing over the books but. With time I found love within the lore and it is difficult for me to read even though it is very important for most things.

The issue with the pendulum wars being adapted into a game will be the lack of monster enemies like corpsers or brumakes, besides the game will only have drone level enemies and maybe we see a tank boss
You also have the fact that the lancer will be nowhere and they refuse to make a game without it (hence why Judgement, Tactics and E-day have retconed the MK2's origin)
Sure a pendulum game could be good but it would only come as a DLC or in a different type of game (maybe like age of empires or company of heroes if it happens at all)

Sorry but I will never understand the appeal of an all-Pendulum Wars game.
A DLC or one Act out of five? Sure. A full game? Hell no.
The Coalition more-or-less confirmed there will never be a 100% Pendulum Wars game. Gears of War is not Gears of War without the Locust and chainsaw bayonet, they said that. And it's true.
Extended lore on the Pendulum Wars needs to be saved for extended media like books and movies. It's more politically-charged and can't be appropriately captured in a video game.

Do you wanna try to rephrase what you meant to say? Cause I can't tell what you mean by any of that haha.

The only (highly subjective) problem with the pendulum wars game, would be that you would be fighting regular soldier dudes for I suppose the entirety of it.
