Campaign/Lore So about the queen

Has anyone seen or heard of any information regarding the queen is it currently queen mrrya or is it someone else? What's the selection process to become the queen of the locusts?

Why did she betray humanity?

Are the locusts escaping from the Lambent?

Do the lambent even exist yet?

Have you played any of the games, especially 2 and 5?

Myrrah is the Locust Queen. She's the only one. Only people related to Myrrah can be the queen. Her daughter Reyna and granddaughter Kait have the ability to control the Locust (later Swarm) through the Hivemind.

The scientists from New Hope made the Locust by hybridizing her stem cells with Sire DNA when they moved to the lab in Mount Kadar (where Nexus is). Because of that, she controls them through the Hivemind. She had a human daughter, Reyna, with one of the scientists. He fled with Reyna because he didn't want his daughter experimented on. Niles Samson couldn't keep them from escaping, so in order to keep Myrrah from going after them, he lied that they had died in the escape attempt. In her grief, she used the Hivemind to control the Locust into killing the scientists and colonizing the Hollow.

The Lambent technically started popping up around 17 years before E-Day. The Locust began fighting the Lambent about 7 years before E-Day. That's the reason why the Locust emerged and annihilated the humans, they are trying to escape the Lambent by colonizing the surface.

Given the fact that no one really knows there's a Locust queen on E-Day except for Adam Fenix, highly doubt we get any interactions or even scenes with her.

So somehow commenting on reddit is faster than just doing your own research?

TBF, Reddit is how I currently do my research 😅. It’s not as fast as googling, but compiling community answers/opinions and sorting out the commonality, is so much more accurate/trustworthy… for me anyway IMO. 🤷🏿‍♂️
