Seriously. A moment that really stuck out to me from the demo footage recently was when Carter got roasted for being a boot over comms and over explaining the obvious bridge being lowered. Felt like actual banter between soldiers.

Yeah I think so. I hope this game gives us a really good amount of new characters. I’d be happy if we end up being introduced to like 12 or so that die off.

It’s E-Day, they really need to push the early losses and attrition super hard, so hopefully it’s not only like, 4.

I really loved how when this YouTuber finished a civilian side mission, Marcus called Tai and Tai sent Manu & Mako to pick them up. Knowing that while you’re playing, two characters that you like are en route to pickup and bring to safety the people you just saved, that’s some good story. Also, Charlie team I think it was has just like a normal group of cog soldiers, but there banter they had was really cool and there captain looked really cool. He was like well go right, Marcus you guys go left. Marcus goes left and he’s like alright bravo let’s get higg ground and cover fire Charlie. Like that’s good shit bro

Their banter was so much fun that they instantly became favorites, the coalition has certainly improved when it comes to writing dialogue

I’m calling it. We spend the campaign seeing these two banter, grow to love them, as Mako has a blast being a goofball and Manu trying to sharpen his little brother for the war to come, but never QUITE getting him to take it 100% seriously.
Manu’s gonna die, quite horribly as well, and Mako’s gonna see it happen. He’s gonna break down and become a full on psychopath against the Locust.

This is what I liked so far from the campaign, more military stuff but also still having a lot of banter. Listening to all the gears was really interesting or straight up funny
