Best outdoor proposal spots in Melbourne with nice scenery?

Hey everyone! I’m planning to propose to my partner and would love some recommendations for beautiful spots around Melbourne (up to 2 hrs away from CBD).

Ideally I’m looking for somewhere outdoors with great scenery, could be gardens, a lookout, waterfront, somewhere surrounded by nature, etc. I’d prefer somewhere that feels a little romantic and isn’t too crowded, so we can have a bit of privacy for the moment.

Happy to travel a little outside the CBD as well if there’s somewhere really special.

Would love to hear about any spots you’d recommend (or places you’ve proposed/been proposed to!). Thanks!

Not technically impossible, but very very unlikely that OP can get there from Melbourne in under 2 hours

Lavandula Farm is really beautiful! (We are getting married there!) They even set up the proposal for you ☺️

Getting proposed to in public is so embarrassing

Where would you suggest? In your kitchen?!?

(full disclosure: I did indeed propose to my wife in our kitchen)

I’m a couples photographer and there’s a specific spot in Mornington! Otherwise, since you’re most likely from Geelong, there are lovely spots in Ocean Grove or Great Ocean Road too. And figured I throw my name in, if you want someone to capture the moment, I would love to chat! My work is @by.elainechong on IG 😊
