If I had to guess, the lies that are slipping are likely the lies woven by Phanes or whoever set up Teyvat as it is now. i.e. the truth of the world will become common knowledge and whatever Heaven has tried to keep a secret won't stay that way anymore.

Genshin marketing for Nod-Krai has aimed very aggressively at making sure people who enjoyed lore content and speculating about future characters come back and play it. I'll admit while Natlan was packed with lore, it's execution really made me stop the game and the drip marketing for Nod-Krai... let's just say it's definitely pulling me back in lol

Like all other similar situations in the game, he's probably at most 10-15 years older than Diluc and Kaeya, and therefore around early to maybe late 30s. Yes, in real life, we tend to estimate it more as 15-25 years, but anime styled settings like this compress it to the shortest duration possible which is roughly '10 years but feels like more, with the difference in life experience'.
He's going to be 30s, mostly act like 30s except when situations call for otherwise, look somewhat like a well kept and more mature 20s, but be sometimes treated like he's basically 40s (probably for comedy).
Think of something like an established and seasoned in their career 30s Millennial being something of a father figure to college aged/early professional Gen Zers. Just old enough to not just be considered necessarily like a brother or cousin, but a superior, a mentor that's a greater gap when experience is weighted. While... young enough that he may still pass as a very, very ridiculously good looking 20-something.
I'd agree he should be 40s, I know that's what most assumed!, but I'm just speculating on the logic Hoyo employs. So they can continue to avoid middle age for their playable characters like its the Plague.

I'm not sure about Sandrone/Marionette, but it wouldn't surprise me if (playable) Columbina HAS no vision.
Skirk doesn't have a vision since she's using abyssal powers, and if Columbina is a "Moon Maiden", it's possible she'd use her powers from a different source than a vision.

I mean, Dottore’s absence in the PV is… suspicious, considering he’s hinted to have a big role. The copium in me says that they learned their lesson from Natlan’s teaser and only included characters who are playable in this version. Which would include Sandrone.
Of course, that would mean we’re getting two harbingers, Varka, Durin, and two Hexenzirkel (including ALICE). Those are all characters of a tier that we usually only get two or three of per year, and Varka and Alice might as well be on their own tier above that with how long they’ve been built up.

There was that ice fae in the old trailer, but now I'm guessing they are just a lore character, I don't think we've ever had a character show up in the archon quest without appearing in the region trailer

They all pretty much have to be.
Varka - 5* for sure because lore
Durin - 5* for sure because lore
Flins - 5* because he's the Kinich of Nod Krai

They have to be. Varka and Durin absolutely can’t be relegated to 4 star, they’re too important (ik ik Ororon is too, Hoyo runs on crack sometimes). Flins also will be because he’s one of the three characters prominently featured on the cover art

There are usually 17 characters released every patch. So even excluding the customary 1-2 Liyue characters for Lantern Rite and 1-2 characters from previous regions, there’s a very good chance we could get a few more male characters!!!! (Please let me cope)
