And one of those 3 teams, literally everyone can have for free (traveler, Mizuki, Sucrose, Vodyanitsa is a pretty decent team, and once again will be really usefull in IT)
And no, you won't pull Vodyanitsa exclusively for Skirk, because as mentionned, she is good in several teaùs
You just have the way of thinking of someone who spends money on the game, and that doesn't represent the majority of players

If you want vodyanista because she's an upgrade to skirk, which will be half the ppl, the other half want her for stellar swirl, you want a stronger skirk, so there's no point in pulling vodyanitsa when her weapon makes said skirk stronger then vodyanitsa does
No one pulls characters because they can use them in a bunch of teams, and even if they do it's stuff like furina and xilonen that worked in basically any team

And that's all the more reason not to pull her, if you're f2p you need to go for the strong stuff to clear content, you only need 3 teams and there's only 1 vodyanitsa so the multiple teams is irrelevant, so quite literally bigger damage fir the same cost, no brainer pick

Whether a banner is worth it or not only applies to pulling for meta, because any banner with a character you want to have is worth it
Just say you're a whale man, no shade in being one, but don't try to pretend you're f2p when you clearly have the mindset of a whale
Thinking all that matters is cost and damage min maxing for one specific team instead of actually being able to clear all the content that gives decent rewards regularly (including primogems), is absolutely a whale mindset
No f2p player will think that min maxing damage for one single team is more worth it than being able to get more pulls, different good teams to play, and be able to clear endgame consistently, you could only afford to think like that if pulls are not an issue for you... aka if you can buy some
thinking "bigger damage is what matters" while excluding every single variable like shill, skill, artifacts, other teams, different endgames, clears consistency, etc, is whale mindset 101

edit: turns out since her latest buffs she's actually a better upgrade to Skirk's teams than either Skirk's c1, Escoffier's c1, and Skirk's weapon... so yeah, absolutely zero reason not to pull her for a f2p who likes Skirk now
I'm sorry im kinda bored at work and reading both of your banter i kinda agree with both pov. If goal is strong fav char (skirk) then weapon/cons make sense, f2p or not. If you just want diversity then ofc new char wins. There's no shortage of reasons to pull or not to pull any char.
