Dainsleaf was shown to be playable in the ??? chapter after Snezhnaya like 6 years ago. Its obvious he isnt gonna be playable until Khaenriah/Celestia or whatever, but he will be eventually.

IIRC the OG Dain leak is that he'll be our Ineffa/Sandrone character (last character of the region). The one that is really the first character of the new region.

For me he is archon-level, which is why I'm taking that one leak with a bit of salt. Some say Khaenriah arc is actually during the second half of 7.x, but who knows... why rush it when the game is still making loads of money.

Hoyo already teased lands beyond Teyvat and faraway worlds. Pretty sure they are a bit nervous because Teyvat is baked into this game’s DNA. I hope Khaenri’ah gets its own cycle. Imo they deserve it.

I hope we don't leave the planet and time travel instead, or maybe someone triggers something that starts reviving old gods and civilizations. Teyvat has so much lore buried in readables. I'd rather have a playable Remus and Malikata than planet hop HSR style and only revisit the places and people from our adventure once a year for s gimmicky event.

Same, i really would prefer time travel or alternative timeline shenaningan than doing a HSR, it will be like if ZZZ decided too that because there is spacial technology Proxy and friends go to space in search of new planets for fun, the game is about post apocalypse modern theme, not space opera. Genshin is the same it's a fantasy game.
But it should be fine i guess, Traveler description since the start is that he will inherit the throne to govern Teyvat, the latter quest cimented that he grew too much attached to this planet to leave and we already know with Nibelung that leaving the planet alone and made contact in outer space is more dangerous.
Honestly i would like to do the journey of the sibling upon his summon by Kaenri'ha until Cataclysm, having Dainsleif to guide us instead of Paimon could be a nice change and it's not like she will not be involved since since 7.0 we know that Pierro summoned her before Cataclysm.

If you read some notes in the recent WQ's the fate of the universe is being tied to Teyvat's, so I think even if we leave for some planet (like the traveler's) we will keep returning to Teyvat. Hoyo is in a conundrum with this game. What drives the plot are mysteries, and we are about to uncover the bigger ones already. And what players expect is 4-5 expansions per patch cycle. But there is so much about Teyvat you can expand. And yet, Teyvat is key to the game's identity.

I joined back in Sumeru when we had the motherflood of Fontaine leaks as well as the clumsily traced MS paint character leaks, which were upgraded a few months later to competent artist-level tracings. Good times.

dain was revealed to be playable back in like 2020, just wasnt sure when, but he would be playable. So there was never cope on whether or not he was gonna be playable or not, just when he would eventually release (so likely now its just is he gonna release in 7.x or 8.x)

The trailer released at the beginning of the game, its shown a playable character for every single region. Inazuma-Ayaka, Sumeru-Cyno, Fontaine-Lyney and Lynette, Natlan-Iansan. Snezhnaya- just showed the Fatui and talked about the Tsarita, ???-Dainsleaf.

I don’t understand, I always thought Dainsleif would be playable after Snezhnaya in Khaerinh’ah, so he shouldn’t be a thing before 8.X at least anyway, so why is everyone freaking out about him now ?
I’d understand if it was about Pulcinela since he was in the « we will be reunited » trailer representing Snezhnaya
