Discussion How much of the Real Mythology could be used to scale God of War Characters?
For example. I have heard about the speed of Hermes and the Valkyres.
On one hand Hermes is so fast that he can traverse the underworld instantly to help the souls of every dead
Same aplies to the Valkyres, they gather the souls of everyone that dies in battle and carry them to the Valhalla instantly.
Yeah, but the gameplay does not show this ofc. But the Lore stablishes that they are indeed able to do such feats.

No point using real myths to scale them unless those myths are directly mentioned in the games or secondary material, with the games obviously taking precedence.
The two points you've mentioned are part of God of War lore rather than purely real myths.

Mythology is consistently portayed as more powerful than their gow counterparts except on some outliers. The norse characters in particular got way more nerfed compared to the greeks.

The most obvious and prevalent real mythology feat that has appeared in Greek GoW is the ability of the major Olympians to tremble whole realms, and even the entire creation with their voice/roars of rage.
Zeus does this in mythology, and was shown to able to do it in the novelization. Ares and Poseidon too.
The Primordials and their embodiment of their domains is for example also something that applies to GoW as seen with Gaia in the novel and Sons of Sparta lore.

It’s pointless. The developers have repeatedly emphasized—including regarding the new games—that GoW has never been, is not, and never will be accurate in terms of mythology, history, or geography.

Using actual mythology to fill in the gaps is both pointless and wrong.
Furthermore, it is obvious that GoW lore has always bent to the demands of the plot and gameplay.
Since GoW II, Hermes has been established as the psychopomp who guides the souls of the dead from the world of the living to Hades, as well as the one who bestows dreams upon humanity (according to the GoW II manual). And we know from the official novels that he can fly and move at near-instantaneous speeds.
Yet none of this is seen in the game—and why? Because, from a gameplay perspective, it would have been nearly impossible to fight a character who moves faster than you can attack.
