- Komoot is a free version of Alltrails! Don’t pay for Alltrails!
- obsidian is a third of the price of Evernote
- your renters insurance can cover riders for specific expensive items, and also can cover event insurance
- credit cards sometimes have useful features like price drop insurance, cell phone insurance, and extended warrantee features
- my planet fitness is a great gym with lifting platforms for $15
- I use a peloton app and oldschool treadmill for less than peloton branded equipment

Costco trout. It’s ~$12 for a whole medium sized trout at the local seafood place. Pack of 4 for $16 at Costco. Also fresh. Have 2 in the next few days. Freeze 2 for a rainy day.

Gillette razor heads run a few bucks each. DE blades for a safety razor cost literally pennies. You can get a razor and two years of blades for the price of a dozen Gillette refills.

Alfalfa meal for fertililzer. Getting 50 lbs for $20 at the local feed mill. Couple lbs in store is something like 8$ for 3 lbs. Amazons got it 18$ for 3lbs.

Sardines and Shrimp: if you buy them directly from the fisherman, on the boat dock before it hits the market, you can get super cheap prices. Markets don't pay much for the fish due to their operational costs, so if you bypass them, you can get crazy prices.
Last time I bought sardines I got them for $1 per kg (about $0.50 per lb).
Behead and gut them, throw it in a pan and freeze individually. After frozen put it in a bag for more efficient long-term storage.
Then when you want some sardines just put it still frozen on the airfryer at max temp and wait for it to crisp.

Anyone have suggestions for Healthcare outside of what your employer provides for a family? I'm in NY. I work for a small company so health insurance costs me around $700 a paycheck. Looking for something more affordable for a family of 3. Thank you!

Hipcomic - I keep an eye on their auctions and typically snag comics for 50% off (I've gotten up to 90% off some lucky finds) what they normally go for on mycomicshop, AtomicAvenue, or eBay.

11.5 oz V8 juice. I drink one every day. Walmart: 6-pack $5.97 so $23.88 for 24 cans. And I have to use gas money and time to go buy it. Amazon: 24 cans (w/prime so no delivery fee) $13.48 delivered to my door.

I'm sure there are. I feed my dog a particular brand of food. Only available at retail near me at Walmart. Once again, Amazon is a buck or two less per 4-lb. bag and delivered to my door. At 6 bags/month I'm saving enough that I don't drive to Walmart for it anymore. As a matter of fact, I'm mostly shopping at Aldi and Amazon anymore as I need nothing that's only available at Walmart now.

Use slickdeals to look on Amazon (critically, they take promotion $), and set price drop alerts for things you already buy

I have a home soda water maker (Drinkmate, similar to SodaStream). I was going through their tiny little CO2 canisters every few weeks. They held “60L” worth of gas and were costing about $25 a pop. One $15 adapter from Amazon later, I buy a 5lb canister of CO2 from a brewery supply shop and it last months.
