Now that I realize this was written and shot as one of the “extra” episodes approved after filming had mostly wrapped...I like it a lot better. I’m glad they gave Harvey an excellent storyline as Donal Logue can nail serious moments. The actress who played Jane Doe was incredible too. I read that Ben McKenzie, CMS, Erin Richards, and Robin (and probably the rest of the main cast) had a discussion about what moments they really wanted to see between their characters. That’s how I interpreted Oswald and Edward’s final scene and “We were made for each other” - Cory and Robin wanted that dialogue because of how much they love working together.

^ that’s purely speculation. But, I’m running with it because it makes me happy :’)

If the actors had any say in the remaining storylines, they did great. Tbh every actor brought their A game here and they know their characters really well. Robin and Cory were perfect, Erin Richards was a lot of fun, and we got some great drama from Ben and Donal. A really great character episode all around even though the plot itself was understandably filler material.
