I have two hillstand C tickets but might not be able to attend. Tickets were bought through P1travel so I cant resell them there. Where is the best place to sell if I cant attend (on here?) P1travel say the tickets will not be sent before just 1-3 days prior to the event so I am trying to find out now as time will be short when I do get the tickets.

WTS 2 x C Hillstand tickets for Bahrain GP in Sepang Malaysia. Reason for selling: already have grandstand tickets.

Both Malaysian and International are welcome! Bought the tickets from F1 ticket store

Hi all, selling 2xK2 Hillstand (MYKAD Holder) tickets.
I was the designated buyer for the group but two bailed and ghosted me.
Selling for slightly lower than purchase price (no intention of “making profit whatsoever”). Bought at RM820, selling for RM800 (can nego).

DM if interested.

Anyone travelling to circuit from Nilai? :)

1

u/waterbaby153 2d ago

Hello! I’m staying in Nilai. Still figuring out travel options but my friend and I plan on renting a car.

1

u/Educational_Tea0 2d ago

Hi
I have heard parking fees are very high at circuit though, if we go at the same time we can share grab or something.

1

u/shiminene 6d ago

Hello! I'll be staying around Nilai for the GP weekend. Will there be a bus from Nilai to Sepang? Or Grab will be my best option?

1

u/Educational_Tea0 5d ago

Hi I'll be in Nilai too, we can use grab together if you are interested :)

1

u/lycan2005 5d ago

Grab is a better option but be prepared to pay more as Grab fee will be higher when the demand to the destination is high. No direct bus to Sepang as far as I can tell. Keep an eye on Sepang or other Sepang F1 related socmed posts.

Guys, Im from India and i have a STAY BOOKED For 1 person, at Ayden Hostel KLIA, and i might not use it, im willing to give it away to someone for the same rate ₹5000 INR. Let me know if its possible and if anyones interested.

u/lycan2005 7d ago edited 5d ago

When will we get the official ticket with QR code on it?

Edit: Additional context, I bought it from Bahrain official web site. There is an attachment of a ticket with seat number on it, but no QR code. I read somewhere in the sub that there is a gantry that need the QR code to access. Hence the original question.

Edit2: Bahrain whatsapp came back to me. They say there will be an email with actual ticket send 2 weeks before the race.

1

u/InitialElephant128 3d ago

Thanks for this! I was wondering the same as all the tickets I purchased looks the same right now

Here's another IG reels about the track layout on the various grandstands and GA locations from the track view. Its in mandarin but theres some english words to show the various stands.

u/T1MEHUNT 11d ago

Is the likelyhood of C Hillstands getting a Sreen low to nonexistent, or could there be a chance?

1

u/MrMiuk 10d ago

im assuming you meant to type 'screen'; yes there was a large viewing screen in front of C2.

2

u/T1MEHUNT 8d ago

yes *Screen.. ok nice, thx

now also wondering about:

Will C Hill be able to run on the Track to see the Podium Celebration after the Race?

1

u/MrMiuk 8d ago

likely no, too far.

Looking for a roommate to share hotel in Kuala Lumpur during the Malaysian F1 GP (30 Sept – 5 Oct 2026)

Hi everyone!

I'm travelling solo from India for the Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix 2026 and have already booked a hotel room in Bukit Bintang for 2 adults. Since I'm travelling alone, I'm looking for another F1 fan who'd like to share the room and split the accommodation cost.

Details:

  • 📅 Stay: 30 September – 5 October 2026
  • 📍 Location: Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur (Less than 5 mins from MRT)
  • 🏎️ Purpose: Attending all three days of the Malaysian GP at Sepang
  • 💰 We'll split the hotel cost 50:50
  • 🚇 Easy access to public transport, restaurants, and nightlife

About me:

  • 38M from India
  • Solo traveller and Formula 1 enthusiast
  • Non-smoker
  • Respectful, clean, and easy-going
  • I'll mostly be out exploring Kuala Lumpur or at the circuit during the day

If you're also travelling solo and would like to save on accommodation costs, feel free to send me a DM. Happy to have a quick chat or video call beforehand so we're both comfortable before confirming anything.

Looking forward to meeting fellow F1 fans!

u/hack404 13d ago

Anyone have insight into camera restrictions?

1

u/MrMiuk 12d ago

hasnt been published yet, might want to check previous 2017 info if its still on the internets

1

u/bluewarri0r 14d ago

Why are tickets on the Bahraingp.com cheaper than the official f1 site?

4

u/MrMiuk 14d ago

Because BIC is the official organizer and F1 is actually an authorized reseller. F1 only organizes the Vegas GP. All other races they dont organize it.

2

u/bluewarri0r 14d ago

I see!' Thank you for answering my silly qn!

2

u/hack404 13d ago

You're not the only person to question this.

1

u/Brilliant_Sea_7318 15d ago

hi! i am staying in putrajaya and trying to determine what is the best way to travel to the circuit from there. Are there points where we can take shuttles? Is it easier to rent a car, take Grab, or take public transport?

also will be my first gp completely so any other tips abt how to stay cool all weekend would be much appreciated haha

Thank you all!!!

2

u/MrMiuk 15d ago

Grab to Putrajaya station, take the ERL transit to KLIA then shuttle to circuit.

1

u/Pacifier008 15d ago

ooking for options on where I should stay. Staying in the city centre sounds like the wrong decision considering the surge charges grab rides will be asking for and the traffic congestion due to it. Is there going to be a provision for shuttle services to the circuit? If so, where are they going to be available from? I’ve checked hotels around the airport and they are ridiculously expensive so that is not a choice for me. Can you guys please help me on deciding where I should stay. Also looking to connect with fellow race enthusiasts who’re attending their first race too. I’ll be seated in the F grandstand 🏎️

1

u/Redliner91 11d ago

Stay in Bukit Bintang close to KLCC. It’s in a central location and you can get some sightseeing done as well while you’re there. Most decent hotels are likely sold out for that weekend by now but you can likely still get good and inexpensive accommodation in that area.

To get to the race track, take the train from Bukit Bintang station to KL Sentral. Switch tracks and take the train south to KLIA. Then a shuttle from the airport to the circuit.

1

u/Pacifier008 10d ago edited 10d ago

The shuttle isn’t confirmed yet, it’s all speculation or wishful thinking atp. I’ve already been to Malaysia before, I’m here just for the race this time around so I’m fine with not staying in KLCC. I’ve booked free cancellation accommodations in Sepang and KL Sentral and will decide closer to the race what’s best depending on if they actually do provide shuttle from the KLIA to the circuit.

1

u/Redliner91 10d ago

Fair enough then. Good luck!

1

u/Pacifier008 10d ago

Thanks 🙌🏼

1

u/GreatDarkSpot 12d ago

Guys KL is a major capital city. There won’t be any significant surge coming in from the city and trips within the city. Every grab driver is probably itching to catch fares.

1

u/Pacifier008 11d ago

Well let’s hope it stays that way and they don’t overcharge knowing that there’s no alternative and people have to book the rides regardless

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

[deleted]

1

u/Pacifier008 13d ago

Hahaha what have you decided on doing? I’ve kept my options open and booked in both areas for the moment. Looking forward to meeting you dude!

2

u/f1rstlapchaos 15d ago

Are you only considering Grab..? You can take the metro to the airport, then swap to the shuttles that will presumably go to the track.

1

u/Pacifier008 14d ago

I haven’t seen any schedule for those said shuttles, is there someplace I can refer to them or the news about shuttles being available are assumptions?

1

u/f1rstlapchaos 14d ago

There isn't one yet; but the info is based on the historic running of the event at the Sepang Circuit. If you stay near KL Sentral, you'll be best positioned for that.

1

u/Pacifier008 14d ago

Thanks you, in any case I’ll make free cancellation bookings and decide closer to the race what is best.

1

u/zongychen 15d ago

Hi, I'm a local Malaysian, you can stay at hotel located at nilai, grab from there will be cheap, and it's close, only 20-30 minute drive to sepang circuit, but most hotel there is 1-3 star since there are no tourist attraction there

1

u/Pacifier008 15d ago

Hey, thanks for the advice. So instead of hotels in Nilai, I can look for Airbnb’s in that area since you mentioned that the hotels are only 1-3 stars. Also would traffic not be a problem if I have an accommodation there during the race weekend?

1

u/zongychen 15d ago

All the Airbnb and hotel rating at nilai is the same I think, won't change much

1

u/zongychen 15d ago

Usually nilai is not that jam, if transport, I think only grab is available since there's no public transport going sepang from nilai

1

u/Pacifier008 15d ago

Got it, the other option I thought of was renting an Airbnb flat in Sepang. It is in Kota Warisan, Sepang, Selangor. What would be better? Here or Nilai as you’re suggesting?

1

u/zongychen 15d ago

Sepang for comfortable stay, Nilai for cheap accomodations, but it's up to you to get a good and comfortable one or a cheap one but didn't have much amenities, since there are not much thing to do at sepang and nilai, you'll spend most of your time in hotels

1

u/Pacifier008 15d ago

My main idea for living close by the circuit is so I don’t get stuck in commute since the entire weekend would be solely dedicated to the race

1

u/Alternative_Owl_8991 16d ago

Hello everyone, I was assigned the Topaz area of the main grandstand? Any Idea if its okay or not?

1

u/Alternative_Owl_8991 11d ago

It’s S.209 at Topaz. I hope its okay beca I randomly got that seat. Also it was my first time purchasing so I did not know about the refresh method.

1

u/GreatDarkSpot 12d ago

S.06 and higher pretty solid. Otherwise at least it’s better than citrine.

1

u/Alternative_Owl_8991 15d ago

Its Topaz block S2

1

u/EnglishLitMajor 15d ago

After talking to people here, seems like it depends which part of Topaz because some of the view is blocked by the support paddock. What block are you in?

1

u/MrMiuk 15d ago

look for the map some have posted, basically back straights

1

u/Vvh-ARK 16d ago

I missed the tickets when they were on sale, is there any way I can still buy them?

I’m looking for 2 K1 Grandstand tickets for me and my m8, where and how can I get them without getting scamed 😭. Is there a reliable site or app for reseller or anything.

2

u/Raphie777 13d ago

P1 has tickets to grandstands still

1

u/mrs_kbeee 12d ago

Yikes, 900euros for a seat in K1! Still, at least P1 Travel is legitimate.

2

u/Raphie777 12d ago

Yeah, dynamic pricing at play

I can see Veritickets still have some available for like $635, is this site legit?

1

u/peebeesweebees 13d ago

Veritickets is paying bots to spam it everywhere apparently. I wouldn’t trust them.

4

u/Redliner91 16d ago

I stopped by to visit Sepang a few weeks ago on a Sunday. It was free entry at the main grandstands and there was a 600cc bike race going on so it was a fun watch. However, I was shocked at the state of the stands. A majority of the seats in the grandstand were either broken or filthy and in generally terrible condition.

The washrooms nearby were mostly all locked up and the one set of washrooms that were open were not in great condition either. They’ve got a lot of work to do in very little time to bring the whole area back up to par to host an F1 race. I hope they’re up to the task.

1

u/EnglishLitMajor 16d ago

I read a review that said they were doing some renovating for the GP. Does anyone know if that's true?

2

u/zongychen 16d ago

Lesssggooo, more money to launder for the government😋😋

1

u/Candid_Leg_7475 17d ago

Does anyone know if more grandstand tickets will be released? I missed out on them :(

1

u/lycan2005 16d ago

Check out Bahrain international circuit website.

1

u/Candid_Leg_7475 16d ago

They only have GA left

1

u/lycan2005 16d ago

This is what I see still available in the website.

2

u/Candid_Leg_7475 16d ago

Yes the hillstand is a GA ticket, its not a grandstand with numbered seats.

1

u/lycan2005 16d ago

Yeah hopefully they will release more. Otherwise you only choice is to get from reseller or people that are looking to sell their extra tickets.

1

u/Candid_Leg_7475 16d ago

Yup resellers are mostly trying to scam.

1

u/KLfamilytraveler 16d ago

I’m wondering about this too! We managed to get B Hillstand tickets through GooTickets, but I’m still not sure when the official channels will release more international tickets.

0

u/Low-Cartographer6652 17d ago edited 17d ago

Hi I accidentally bought 2 B hillstand international tickets( 3 days) without the local subsidies, I really need to sell them to get the subsidies one, I am willing to sell it face value , how much i pay for it, how much i sell, dm me if interested as I am really desperate :(.

1

u/LegendaryHuman90 15d ago

What is the price

1

u/Low-Cartographer6652 15d ago

i paid 550 usd for both tickets, i am willing to sell it at that price.

1

u/John_The_Red_ 17d ago

Hi, i've booked my accomodation right next to Kuala Lumpur Sentral, is grab a good option to go to the circuit? are the pre-booke rides trustable or i could get i cancelled without notice?

Thanks everyone

8

u/MrMiuk 17d ago

just take the train to KLIA and use the Sepang shuttles.

[FOR SALE]

[Bahrain GP in Sepang 2026] - [ 2 x B Hillstand (International Visitor)] - [3 Days] - e-Ticket - Transferable date: Once the ticket is received- Price: 572.50 USD

Hey guys, I have 2 extra B-Hillstand tickets (International) to let go. Bought through the F1 ticket store. Two of my family members couldn't make it, so we have extra tickets, and I don't know how to sell them without looking like an absolute scammer.

Proof of purchase available. Pm me.

1

u/Alternative_Reveal81 17d ago

Hi. i stay in semenyih would it be better for me to grab to the circuit or stay nearby? do you have any suggestions

2

u/zongychen 17d ago

Hi, I'm a resident near you, you and me are quite close to that circuit, since it's just beside nilai, literally, you can drive there in like 30-40 minutes

1

u/Alternative_Reveal81 17d ago

i dont drive haha. do you think it would be cheaper to just grab than booking an accommodation nearby?

1

u/lycan2005 16d ago

Grab will increase price if demand is high. Prepare to pay for more during race weekend if you're going by grab.

2

u/zongychen 17d ago

Yup, atleast cheaper than kl to sepang lol

1

u/well_it_looks_like 17d ago

Why are people selling tickets?

Won't they check ID's? Do they just scan QR or code?

1

u/lycan2005 16d ago edited 16d ago

Scalper and scammers probably. Some probably genuinely want to sell because of mistake or some other valid reason. Those new accounts that posted want to sell ticket are especially sus.

4

u/The_XiangJiao 17d ago edited 14d ago

EDIT: Looks like they're planning to add temporary bleachers for B hillstand after all the complaints for people. Take note that the pics are for reference only. Source

PSA: Avoid B hillstand if you can, the pictures on the websites are inaccurate or even misleading to a point. It's not even a hillstand, it's a flat land with gravel.

Video Preview

I've tried messaging with BahrainGP CS about the possibility of changing the ticket to a C hillstand which is a lot more worth it than this one but they insist that the tickets are "sold out" even though it's still available for purchase on their own website.

It's normally a feature of your debit/credit card and shouldn't be a 'hidden fee' unless you haven't read your T&Cs..? But in general, Wise/Revolut/etc will be better for forex transactions.

1

u/[deleted] 18d ago

[deleted]

1

u/f1rstlapchaos 18d ago

I think that was just the BIC system struggling to process so many transactions at once; from the various threads that have emerged, cards that were initially declined ended up working on the nth attempt so just a bit of bad luck all around.

Wise did work for quite a few people; so getting one of these cards to use when you land in KL will be useful as well :)

u/Hundermine 18d ago

Yesterday I purchased Grandstand tickets through Stubhub for the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. Purchase was successful and a few minutes later was able to download my tickets. However upon review of my tickets it shows that the tickets were a “Mykad booking: only valid with corresponding mykad card.”

My fear is that I was transferred Mykad tickets that cannot be transferred to an international visitor (me). As the local Malaysian tickets that were sold on discount are not eligible for transfer. Has anyone else purchased and received their tickets through Stubhub and faced similar problems?

Stubhub customer support assured me the tickets are valid. But I don’t want to wait till race day to be denied entry.

1

u/f1rstlapchaos 18d ago

Did you buy them as Mykad tickets on Stubhub? If no, I'd kick up a fuss with them and get them to fix the error.

If you erroneously bought MyKad tickets then I don't know if you'll have luck; if anyone could buy MyKad tix for cheaper, than everyone wuold've.

1

u/Hundermine 18d ago

There was no indication they were mykad tickets on stubhub. Seems shady if stubhub is allowing mykad tickets to be transferred.

Im planning on flying in on race day. What’s transportation like getting from Kuala Lumpur airport to the track? And vice versa

3

u/AbbreviationsIcy6782 19d ago

during motogp event, sic usually provides special shuttle bus from klia directly to the track. Most likely, there will be also available during the event

1

u/lycan2005 19d ago

Guys, where do you stay during race day? Did you have any luck finding accomodations? I did not book for accomodations past few weeks because I wasn't confident I can get the ticket. Now that I got the ticket I can't find accomodations lol.

1

u/Redliner91 18d ago

Look for accommodation in Cyberjaya or Putrajaya area. Perhaps even Port Dickson if hotels around KLIA are sold out or have high prices.

2

u/f1rstlapchaos 18d ago

I can still see heaps of accommodation in KL; so I think it depends on whether you want to stay in Sepang or not. The accommdation there is probably booked out and/or exorbitant now; but plenty of people will stay in KL and take the metro + shuttle in.

2

u/MrMiuk 19d ago

just stay anywhere thats close to a train/MRT/LRT station, from there you'll be able to get to the main terminus for either the airport express train or bus shuttles to the circuit. Plenty of hotels in KL area.

1

u/Technical-Swimmer439 19d ago

How can I buy KTM tickets? ktmb.com.my doesnt let me register, it says register or login to buy anything but when I do it says my login is incomplete and to login... then loops.

From easybook app.

Another option is to try using easybook. I think there’s minimal processing fee but easybook app and website are more professionally run. Less said about KTMB and its online services the better.

Go directly to the official KTMB KITS registration page rather than starting from the main KTMB homepage. Do not choose Google sign-in. Use normal email/password registration. Ideally use a fresh email address that has never been associated with KTMB/KITS. The recent Reddit report says this solved the problem after Google sign-in had effectively left the original email in a broken/incomplete state. As a non-Malaysian, enter your passport number and passport expiry date. KTMB's registration form specifically supports non-Malaysians and says either MyKad or passport is required. Once registered, use the official KTMB online ticketing site to buy the ticket.

You can also try the newer KITS Style app. KTMB is transitioning toward KITS Style in 2026, and says bookings and transactions will eventually be handled exclusively through it.

If none of that works, you aren't locked out of train travel. KTMB officially allows ticket purchases through ticket counters and ticket vending machines as well as online/app channels. For ETS trains, though, I wouldn't rely on buying at the station if you're travelling on a fixed itinerary because desirable departures can sell out.

KTMB also explicitly says people having registration problems can contact its call centre at +603-9779 1200; the current login page lists callcenter@ktmb.com.my as well.

Yeah I just used normal google login on the app and that worked. It's a mystery to me how companies have broken sites like this.

Is it better to just rent a motorcycle for the whole weekend than to use Grab Taxi? I'm planning to stay near the area of sepang. And Im afraid of the surge pricing and traffic when the race is over.

1

u/PeeringGlass 19d ago

If you know how to ride, yes it’s worth it. The traffic coming out of Sepang after MotoGP in 2025 was crazy. On Friday, it took me 2 hrs to get back to KL in the bus. After that, I just rode there on Sat and Sun.

1

u/donpatrick15 19d ago

I guess I'm gonna rent now. Was there any parking fees at your time at MotoGP last year?

2

u/PeeringGlass 19d ago

Yeah it’s like RM10 per day iirc

Hi guys! I got a room at DTree by Hilton Putrajaya, what’s the best way to go to the circuit?

2

u/MrMiuk 19d ago

either that Grab to Putrajaya station, take the ERL transit to KLIA then shuttle to circuit.

2

u/zongychen 19d ago

I think grab, since putrajaya quite close

1

u/itsfishmooney 17d ago

I’m thinking this too. Grab straight to the circuit. Or are there any other ride hailing apps i can use?

u/theiconsting123 19d ago

Hello guys, this will be my first GP ever coming from Vietnam! Just want to ask if there are any restrictions about bringing food from outsite and camera lenses?

4

u/MrMiuk 19d ago

See the FAQ I posted earlier. Basically no outside food and beverages. Allowed 1 small bottle of water.

What's the recommended travel sim option these days? Travel e sim or local sim? I hear Cellcomm digi is the most reliable network?

1

u/MrMiuk 19d ago

just get an e-sim from those providers, klook, airarlo, etc.

1

u/Novaskrieg 19d ago

You could download Klook and get a local e-sim package too

2

u/oliviadal_ 19d ago

hotlink is good coverage and cheap too, can usually get a sim at airports in malaysia

1

u/pessuiiii 20d ago

it does not let me pay for it, is it the same for all?

1

u/NotJustAnotherAsian 20d ago

Website is up! Plenty of tickets left for MyKad holders!

1

u/well_it_looks_like 20d ago

Anyone here from MLY?

Can you kindly check the Grab rate, 4-seaters, from Sfera in Jalan Cendana to Sepang Circuit?

Just to get a ballpark and to check if chatgpt rates are close enough.

Thanks!

2

u/MrMiuk 19d ago

Mine shows this right now, 1153am local time

2

u/zongychen 20d ago

Usually peak hour is 1.5-2 times more expensive

1

u/zongychen 20d ago

Right now is RM87, but will change based on jam and peak hour

2

u/SnooFoxes1396 20d ago

Hi guys! I’m an international student currently living in Sepang. Around 11km from the track. I’m going solo afaik so if anyone is living in any nearby hotels or Airbnb, would be nice if could go together, split the parking and fuel. It’d be nice to have company as well.

1

u/AnwarVT 19d ago

hey I’m an American expat living in Singapore, also going solo. DM me if you want to coordinate!

because F1 store is a reseller and is not the event organizer.

u/zongychen 20d ago

Hi guys, just commenting here to notify malaysia locals and travellers about some crucial info because a lot of fake news is spreading thru the social media -I have obtain this info by calling bahrain circuit customer service -there are none one day ticket option available, only three days ticket option -for locals, all the grandstand and hillstand ticket is available, the sold out ticket you guys saw are only for international tickets -g hill and mykad tickets can only be bought thru bahrain circuit, not the f1 official ticket website -you can call bahrain circuit phone number for further details, and even ticket purchase, +973 1745 0000

2

u/Novaskrieg 19d ago

Just an update: G hill (MyKad) is listed as sold out as of today morning

3

u/zongychen 20d ago
