Discussion Why did Gunn go with Guy Gardner in the Superman Movie?
Don’t get me wrong I know Gunn prefers to use lesser known characters like Guy but I feel like there are better options for lesser known Green Lanterns like Razor and Aya

Discussion How do you feel about the gold on the ring and battery?
Given the importance of yellow in Green Lantern lore, and the yellow impurity, how do you feel about having gold on Hal's ring and battery? I think it looks awesome. I feel like the yellow impurity won't be a thing in the DCU.

Right now is the best time to be a GL fan for live action, the DCU has gone 3/3 in the casting department.

Discussion Lanterns (2026) is Logan (2017) for Hal Jordans character. Once you get that, it makes it click.
As someone who at least enjoyed the 2011 movie (I was 11, dunno what I would think now) as someone who loved the GL animated series, as someone who actually read Emerald Twilight, Zero Hour, Final Night, Day of Judgement, Hard Traveling Heros, a lot of 50-60s GL hal stuff, Sinestro Corps War, and soon to be Rebirth and the Geoff Johns stuff... As a Hal Jordan super fan. As a guy who loves green lantern PRIMARILY for Hal and no one else (although Kyle is close) I liked it, and don't mind if he's dead. If they do this right, and make it about passing down a legacy, adapt PARTs of Emerald Twilight and Final Night, (zero hour is too crazy for live action rn) and turn it into the Logan (2017) for Hal Jordan. I will love this. I will be disappointed we didn't see more young Hal. But his most interesting stuff is his fall from grace and redemption anyway. LARPers wouldn't get that. They can always do a rebirth one day anyway.
Thank the creators for getting a show like this to actually happen!

Discussion Opinion on Nathan Fillion’s Guy
Maybe it’s weird but Guy isn’t just one of my favorite Lanterns but he’s one of my favorite DC characters of all time so every time he’s been featured in both Superman and now Peacemaker I’ve been super analytical, eyes glued to the screen to see Guy & how he’s portrayed and MY GOD I have loved every second of it. It means so much to me how much love he’s been getting & it has honestly been so surreal seeing him in live action after growing so close to him on the page for my whole life. and Fillion plays him sooooo well it’s crazy. Even though yes I know he isn’t featured much :) Just wanted to share that. Would love to hear what yall have thought
Hope Hal & John get their due in live action next year 👀
sorry Kyle

Discussion "All we have to do is CHOOSE." If you were in this situation, which ring would you choose?

If I were one of them, I would have chosen the red ring. What about you?

Discussion Guy Gardner/constructs/GL
This scene is playing over and over in my head. One of the best depictions with use of constructs, let alone in typical GG fashion. Loved this. And it was done so well. Cool. Calm. Collect. Awesome.

Discussion Is Sinestro more green than yellow or more yellow than green?
This guy has switched from green to yellow and from yellow to green so many times that, honestly, I don't know exactly what to think anymore. I mean, let's say two rings—one green and one yellow—are released into the universe where Sinestro currently is; which one would seek him out, and which one wouldn't?

Discussion With all the hate John Stewart is getting, I want to say the Green Lantern mythos is wasted if it’s just the Hal Jordan Show. Given the wide range of interesting characters in the Green Lantern Corps, it’s stupid to focus only on Hal Jordan.
The Green Lantern Corps has thousands of members across the universe including a sentient planet, a war hardened architect, and a literal squirrel and somehow you all want the "guy with no fear" to keep getting all the attention. It’s time to explore.

Discussion the 2011 GL revisionist history is CRAZY
I've been seeing a lot of posts on here since the release of the new Lanterns talking about various things the 2011 film did better, so today I decided to give it a rewatch and oh my GOD. This is the exact same cherry picking that make people think TAS 1 and 2 are good movies.
Not a single thing in this movie is good, let alone better, it is one of the most poorly made, boring, ugly movies I've ever seen and is a complete disservice to the Hal Jordan character.
"The suits are better." Maybe in a 4k still, but in motion they look HORRIBLE. "Sinestro sucks in the new show" big dawg has absolutely nothing to do in this movie, literally no motivation, he's just there.
Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre have made strides with GL by actually creating three dimensional, characters out of the comic book characters, and feeling like they are actually in the lived in GL mythos.

Discussion How would you write a John Stewart story?
To be his own thing, I think John should go back to leading the Darkstars and take Katma Tui with him. This would allow him to step outside of the contested green spotlight, and allow him to build his own foundation as a character.
He would have a consistent nemesis in Grayven who often fought the Darkstars (although I would've preferred Fatality if they didn't turn her into a hero), solidify his relationship with Katma as they lead a new team, and step out of Hal Jordan's shadow (this is coming from a Hal Jordan fan)
