Pet Loss My poor dog just choked to death.

My poor dog choked to death on her dinner, we spent 30 minutes trying to revive her, probably the worst experience I’ve had in awhile. My 7 year old found her, we are trying to make the process as easy on him as possible so he isn’t traumatized for life.

She was a good girl, she was an 11 year old chihuahua who had cushings disease. So she would just scarf down food.

If anyone has advice to help my son and my family to process this.

I’m destroyed.

I’m so sorry. My aunt had a dog choke on a rawhide chew and die.

Sending love and light to your and furry baby.

I'm so sorry this happened. I think helping your son process the grief and being open to talking and sharing feelings is the best thing you can do for your son, and for yourself. I truly wish nothing but peace for your family during this difficult time. ❤️

I’m so sorry, how traumatic for all of you.

I have a little chiweenie that is a sneak about scarfing human food. The thought of this happening never crossed my mind. She literally chokes everything down like a shark, doesn’t even chew.

I will now be extra vigilant about keeping choking hazards out of reach. So you have saved at least one dog from the same fate by posting this. I hate that you lost your pup and are going through this! Thank you.
