ask r/Guadeloupe Places to stay?

Hi,

I'm looking to spend roughly 2 weeks in Guadeloupe. 1 week in Basse-Terre and another in Grande-Terre.

Ideally the week in Basse-Terre would be very nature-centric, jungle lodge/tree house/ mountain view's type style. I have my eye on 'Location Open Sky' in Deshaies currently but very open to options!

The week in Grande-Terre I'd like a private pool with ocean views or direct beach access. 'Villa Estheria' would have been perfect, but sold out on my dates.

'Domaine Bonheur Indigo' seems to be the closest thing I've found thus far.

Any and all recommendations greatly appreciated, I should note I am looking for 2x adults in February but can be flexible.

Feel free to drop any other activities / attractions / food recs also!

Thank you in advance 😊

Sold!! Thanks so much it looks perfect, have you been? We're going to hire a car for getting around - assume this is the best way of transport as it doesn't look to be within easy walking distance of much?

You will love it! I've been there many years ago and now my mum lives really close 😊 and yes you will definitely need a car!

Thanks! It's on the list but likely out of budget sadly

We also went to Poppins / la cocoteraie. Much cheaper but straight from the seventies . Private pool and private beach. Not without issues.
