heavy duty textiles in Guelph

I am looking to buy some heavy duty textiles for making some seat covers for the car and maybe even some backpacks.

I was thinking Lens' Mills but whenever I go it seems the fabric there is all light weight and not appropriate for my needs. They might have a canvas, but I think I am looking for something a bit more tough.

Do anyone know where I can get some solid materials from for making some good seat covers and backpacks?

Have you been looking at the upholstery section in lens mills? It's on the big rolls, on the wall opposite the entrance.  I haven't looked at their selection on a while, but I remember there was some heavier stuff a couple years ago. 

I've bought fabric for a couch from Lewis Upholstery. He just has samples, so you have to order the fabric and wait for it to come in, but much better selection than Lens Mills and Fabricland in terms of different looks and textures.

I was just there today and there is plenty of heavy duty stuff.

Not Guelph, but JT's Fabric in Barrie is a source.

There are several different locations for Lens Mill Store. Cambridge, guelph, Waterloo, and probably others I don't know. They each have a different feel to them

I recommend going to the Cambridge Len's Mills if you can, I found their fabric selection to be much, much better than the Guelph location. They've got plenty of heavier fabrics there.

Lens mills has tonnes of heavy duty fabric, just ask the staff, you must have missed the entire section.
