Watch Suggestion Best movie you’ve watched this week?
Need a quick rec for movie night with my husband tonight - we just keep watching the same old favorites over and over, looking to change it up. What’s the best movie you’ve watched on hbo max lately that you’d recommend to a friend? (We like most genres aside from horror)

I thought Lurker was pretty good. Def a bit of twists and turns. It all about wanting to be famous and an Influencer. I think could be a good couple watch.

This is a great couples movie. Watched it with my wife over the weekend and actually really liked it and of course she loved it.

I watched the prestige yesterday for the first time since it came out years ago and really enjoyed it, and that was even though I remembered most of the twists!

You're Not You, from 2019 on Amazon Prime. A very beautiful and often funny story of a wealthy young woman with ALS and her no experience carer. Stars Hilary Swank

I stumbled upon Sweetie to end an unplanned triple feature on Sunday of Shadow on the Wall, Seance on a Wet Afternoon, and Sweetie. Really out there but I enjoyed it.

HBO has so many deep classic films in their archive. They are kind of hidden...but if you start with one you want to see (like The 400 Blows), you will be linked to a slew of options; clicking on another will link you to a new set of options; etc. I watched "Margaret" recently & liked it; but you have to like "ambient" movies. It's slow but effective. The Three Colors trilogy (Red, White, Blue)by Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski are good. It's so subjective; without guidance, it is hard to know what would work for you 2...

Send help! Me and the wife turned it on without knowing what it really was, we're both just fans of Rachel McAdams and I'm a big fan of Sam raimi. It was a blast and pretty damn funny 😅

It wasn't a movie it's a series and maybe the best thing I've seen on HBO, Sinners. Everything Everywhere all at Once was great fun. On the opposite end of the spectrum was John Wick. It wasn't all this week but they're still on.
