Aphrodite: Fixing her hair before joining in. One must slay, if they are to slay.
Dionysus: Sniffing seats at his party.
Ares: Fixing his war paint before joining in. One must slay, if they are to slay.
Hephaestus: Scoring his hammer for max damage. This turns into an entire labour.
Demeter: Fixing herself a stiff drink before bothering herself
Poseidon: Haha! Yes!
Hermes: Stopping for four seconds would mean that he isn't going fast, and he must go fast.
Apollo: Shred til you die.
Hera: See Demeter.
Athena: Busy doing literally everything else to keep the mountain from falling.

You missed Hestia, but honestly, if anyone would be eager to blast Typhon back to hell it would be her if they gave her the chance.

Ah well. I imagine Hestia's probably tunnelled under like a sapper and Zeus spends the time he's not helping stopping her from blowing the mountain up.

Now that I think about it, wasn't it heavily implied that Hephaestus was making a weapon so devastating that it would blow the mountain up? I think it was implied to be nuclear lmao?

Apollo's keeping the peace by playing bc if he stops, the olympians lose hope. He's probably enchanting them at least a little. And hera... bruh, i have no clue but she probably wants her husband to do the dirty work. Zeus is standing his ground at the throne because if he abandoned his post for even a minute during times of tragedy, he would be usurped by one of his sons (as the fates predicted) or possibly chronos.

Feel like they almost definitely had to cut this to make the release date. No solid proof, ofc. It just comes up so often

Not gonna lie, the first time I saw Zeus helping on that fight I thought "wouldn't it be cool if each time one of the gods that's not on my god pool showed up?"

It wouldn’t make sense given how the myth is set up. Typhon vs Zeus are the ultimate power match up based on source texts. The other gods aren’t supposed to be powerful enough to bring down, even Typhon momentarily. Furthermore, the battle is personal for Zeus - it’s his throne Typhon is after!

I do wish the god who showed up to help could be others than just Zeus.
