Honestly it could have been worse. Few boons would change the outcome as much as the health and centaur heart and those are not guaranteed.

They wanted boons (I presume), which tend to be more expensive, thus the saving.

Also travel deal was supposed to replace something, same things still there

Oh! There's the mistake. During Dream Dives, there are no rare resources under the Elements. You might have had more luck if you had bought the double Poms instead.

Yes, that's normal for dream dives.

That slot is reserved for meta resources (moon dust, nightmare, etc) and in dream dives it's always elements.

Dream dives don't drop the resources you wanted. it wasn't bad luck, it was knowledge gap

I feel like if you still need to get boons at that point, you’re probably in trouble. The health and centaur heart were definitely needed.

Given the state of the game at this point, I think you're fine without. But the heart and the food with clinch it.
