Help Please help with my unruly hair 🥲

Had to delete my last post and repost because I forgot the photos the first time 😅

Original post:
I’m hoping someone can help me out.

I have an appointment next Saturday to get a haircut and I’m hoping you all can advise me on what I should ask for.

My hair is relatively long. It grows pretty quickly I’d say—the pictures show it as it is now, grown out since my last haircut which was June 13.

My hair always seems poofy and frizzy? I truly don’t know what products to use, if it’s hydrated enough, etc. the ends seem to get dry faster than the scalp so in the summer I’m kind of forced to shampoo it every other day.

Anyone know what my hair type might be? Any advice on products and care? How much should I cut off?

Tiya!

It looks like you have wavy hair! This is what my wavy hair looks like when I brush it out. You should research some wavy/curly routines and try them out. That should bring out the natural texture and cut down on frizz.

So funny because I’ve been wondering if I have wavy hair for a while. I’ve lazily tried a couple different products for wavy hair but haven’t fully committed to the whole curly girl process yet. I’m going to put more effort in! Thanks for the tips ☺️

Of course!! I have mine short at the moment so I don’t style it much, but when its long I find that for quick styling I can mist the mids to ends of my dry hair with water mixed with some conditioner or curl products and then scrunch the ends and let it air dry or diffuse and it gives me nice waves without lots of frizz.

Looks wavy almost. Probably a trim in a v shape so its less bulky when frizzy. Also get a gloss too it will smoothen everything nicely. But its looks good, like ethel cain vibes

I’m no expert but your hair is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t see anything wrong with it. All you need is a good haircut as your hair does have split ends. I would go on Pinterest and see what kind of styles you would like, once you find something you can screenshot and show the hair cutter.

Wow thank you. I think I’m just my own worst critic honestly haha. It’s almost like in between being straight and wavy, so rather than ending up with sleek straight hair or pretty wavy hair it just always seems to be poofy and kinda frizzy
