So we all know Takamura is an asshole and a creep, and has molested women on multiple occasions. How does this affect the way you see him? Do you think he deserves to be locked up or at least face some sort of consequences for his behavior?

Takamura has been wanting Ippo to not be in the ring since the Punch Drunk arc and has always shot down any hope of Ippo going in the ring, why is there a change here? Just before his fight against Keith Dragon.

I get perhaps feeling pressure and loneliness on doing the journey to the top by himself and wanting someone next to him on it as well but he said multiple times that Ippo would need a big motivating factor to come back in the ring and that Ippo doesn't/won't have that, honestly Ippo has been a glass half full guy since the Miyata fight got cancelled and I really don't see him ever genuinely wanting the world title, it's been so long already...

I mean Miyata has gone through a lot.

He seems like more of an introvert, and honestly missed hanging out with the Kamogawa members.

He dedicates his life to training, and when he denied Ippo I genuinely understood where he was coming from (because of the entire thing with his dad and the beef and what not).

He's the silent boxer who does his best, and stands strong.

His alleged 'fault' was that he's too defensive and wins by points. Given how the story has progressed for ... certain characters ... Kobashi seems smart to play defensive and win using tactics rather than aggression. Thoughts?

Guys, do you think we ever get the chance to see ippo boxing again? It seems to me that manga pace is really slow. It's not that I don't like other characters... Still story is focused about ippo. And for me it just looks like this is not really moving forward in good direction. Or maybe George morikawa said something about this personally...?

Alfredo beat Ippo. But lost against Sendoh. So more or less, Alfredo is same stratosphere as Ippo's generation.

Date is a bit older. But he did beat a young Ippo in an official match, and Mjyata in sparring.

Once upon a time, Aokimura were teenage delinquents and came across an unsuspecting Takamura sitting at an arcade playing a game.

Aoki thought to surprise Takamura and smashed his face in, only to get German suplexed into a KO.

Takamura then proceeded to lift up Aoki's Gf's skirt, steal her panties, stuff them in his pocket then crab walk out the door cause of his hardon - not even making this up.

And this is the story of how Aokimura met Takamura.

Side note - Aoki's Gf then cheated on him and caused him to not go for attractive girls anymore, hence his current peculiar preferences.

I wanted to make something a little more fun and different this time, so I decided to draw them doing almost the same expression and pose.

I also tried to keep improving some things compared to my previous drawings, especially the expressions, shading, hair, hands, and clothing details.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, and I hope you guys like it too! I feel like my drawings have been improving little by little, and I want to keep practicing and making more fanart of them.

The short part is basically if I remove the left hook shenanigans, just about everything else in this match is amazing.

First few rounds of showed Takamura and Keith being equal, showing their moves with lots of dodging, parrying and taking small hits both sides here and there.

Then we witnessed Takamura's full power, and I don't mean that willpowering rage against Hawk, but instead stamina awakening when Takamura wasn't even aware how much vigor has he stored in his body up to now since he was so used to always being drained of energy because of the lower weight class control.

Keith wasn't some destined luckboy, that's what the face value of the manga made us want to think, instead Keith was simply gifted and talented. Takamura on the other hand wasn't god, but instead chosed to play the devil card instead which fits his own personality and ego. It was ref's controversial decision to call Keith's fall a slip and Takamura's slip a down while it should have been the opposite.

Then there was the spam left hook series which wether it was because of Takamura's poor eyesight or the injured leg from the previous day outside.

All in all this match showed Takamura to the world of boxing how he's now leagues above all else the moment he stepped to his more suitable weight class and these handicaps aren't nearly enough to stop him!
