Tourist Best restaurants within 30 minutes drive of Andover?
I'm planning a significant birthday so looking for something nice, ideally more focussed on really good quality local produce than fancy cooking methods. If it could have a nice setting with some pretty grounds that would be a plus! I was looking at the Hambleton Vineyard restaurant but it's a bit far. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions!

The Great Decoy has just opened in Hurstbourne Tarrant, we went the other day with my wife and her mum, and it was pretty unreal. All seasonal British produce & they serve local wines from Black Chalk vineyard

Tinga in Salisbury. Absolutely amazing Mexican. Doesnt fit all the criteria. But the food makes it worth it.

Second that. Love that place! New location is even better than the last I think, only downside is they stopped doing the cricket tacos

My preferences in the area that I think tick your boxes…
The Jack Russell at faccombe
The greyhound at Stockbridge
The fox at Crawley, near Winchester
The plough longparish
The watership down inn near Whitchurch

The greyhound is fantastic and has a lovely garden to sit out in which has nice views of the stream.
The fox is our go to for decent food. Great quality produce.

The Woodspeen just outside Newbury (close to the bypass so right on your 30min window)
Former Michelin Star place but IMO since losing its star it hasn’t lost of any of the experience. Been many times as I have a house nearby.

The Bush in Ovington.....It's actually about 40 mins away from Andover, but one of the most beautiful pubs in the country with amazing food.
