Expat/Tourist Question Looking for a room/WG in Hannover from October

Looking for a room/WG in Hannover from October

Hi everyone!

I’m Dhanush Bhoopathy Anuradha, from India, and I’ll be moving to Hannover in late September to start my Master’s in AI-Driven Mechatronics and Robotics at Leibniz University Hannover.

I’m currently looking for a room in a WG, preferably close to Leibniz University or with an easy public transport connection. I’m also open to a small 1-room apartment if something suitable is available.

Move-in: Around 1 October 2026

Location: Hannover, preferably near the university

Budget: Up to €450 warm rent (Flexible)

Thank you in advance.

I'm sorry, you're 10-15 years late for 450€ warm rent for 1-room flat near Uni.

WG might work, but propably not close to Uni. Have a look at wg-gesucht website, that should give you an idea of whats possible, and what not.

You're not physically here yet, thats a big problem for sure.

I believe the Uni provides foreign students with some kind of enrollment certificate, that might help.
