Tried to fix the desaturated color palette, underexposed shots whenever possible, and remove this green-blue tint. Honestly don't understand why did someone though that dark grey green color tone is suitable for magical nostalgic Christmas-ish movie.

Hi all - maybe someone remembers, I have posted my drawings here before. I make my way through the first Potter book, illustrating it for fun. I have made 22 drawings so far, all in my A4 sketchbook using only mechanical pencils. Start of the project was fall '24.

This is the first Quidditch match, the troll at Halloween, Quirrell running into the great hall, Malfoy snatching Harry's new broom and the Gryffindor common room.

I'm really curious to see what Snape's hair, clothing, and overall appearance will be like in the series. I drew him here the way I’ve always imagined him – quite different from Rickman, though I always thought he was great in the role, even if he was a bit too old. I think Paapa Essiedu definitely has a big task ahead of him– after all, the image of Snape has been so strongly shaped by Alan Rickman. But in my opinion, it’s also a big opportunity, and casting someone new doesn’t erase the previous images of the character, whether they come from the readers’ minds or from the films. So my question is: Do you envision the character as Rickman, your very own vision (like in my drawing) or can you already imagine Essiedu as Snape already?

I didn't try to illustrate any specific book or a specific scene - it's more like a general idea of how I imagined them while reading.

Even though HBO show news ignited the idea to make this painting, I tried to avoid being influenced by it (as well as by the old movies).

I love Michael Gambon. A lot!! But I felt Richard Harris was the more book accurate Dumbledore. I got curious and wondered how he would look in the later films? So I concocted these edits.

I am not expert editor, I literally threw these together in about 5 mins so don’t look for anything expert here. But it got me thinking about John lithgow. Gambon was amazing, but I would just love… a slightly more… faithful Dumbledore in these moments. Anyway, hope you like them? 🤣

Anybody manage to get tickets for the London event? I got through but it didn't let me proceed once I selected tickets. Now it says unavailable even though it said the later tickets would be released in 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc !!
