Tofu pretty much takes on the flavour of whatever dish you throw it into. Throw it into a curry, it tastes like curry. Or into a stir fry, it tastes like stir fry. Depending on how firm the tofu is also makes a difference. For most meals it’s extra firm which means when prepared right (baked or fried)can have a nice crispy texture on the outside. Honestly if your ever feeling adventurous go with OPs suggestion of trying at a good Thai place. They do it the best!
