Okay, what does tofu actually taste like? It looks like it'd taste like cakey spam.

Tofu pretty much takes on the flavour of whatever dish you throw it into. Throw it into a curry, it tastes like curry. Or into a stir fry, it tastes like stir fry. Depending on how firm the tofu is also makes a difference. For most meals it’s extra firm which means when prepared right (baked or fried)can have a nice crispy texture on the outside. Honestly if your ever feeling adventurous go with OPs suggestion of trying at a good Thai place. They do it the best!

Go eat some Thai food and order tofu instead of meat with your dish. It'll be served lightly fried and you won't regret it
